  • Isle of Skye, February 2007

  • The symbolism of this image is deep. Man against nature, his arrogance even when dwarfed by the age and strength of nature. / This was taken in Arches National Park at Delicate Arch in the Fall of 2005. There are many photographs of Delicate Arch and I didn’t want to duplicate what had already been done. With a man dressed in a black suit, he appears in a unique vision of the famed Delicate Arch stepping out from another time and place.

  • The joy of digital means you don’t have to run out to buy a film, thus risking losing the shot altogether. I looked out of my window last week to find this old fella resting in the sky, “click” he now exists forever, and not just for that fleeting moment. Not sure about human AND nature, more like human IN nature. Oh, ..and i left the rooftops in the corner just to give some perspective. i love the contented smile, the fact that you can see the curl on the end of his moustache, and his round nose complete with nostrils, a defined brow and even his upper and lower eyelids, so unreal but so real. lucky me.

  • Here is a re-worked image of my little girl and my husband which was on RB a while ago.. I keep coming back to it so finally decided to play with it and here it is… I originally had this image in colour but got some great advice from a fellow bubbler to try it in b&w so I did…... This image was taken when my little girl fell over on the rocks and hurt her knees and her daddy gave her a piggy back to the car before the storm came.
