Canon Powershot with IR filter “As Is” / Brandywine Falls Ohio / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-— / I have been waiting for this kind of shot for a long time. The storms were fierce with a ton of rain last night. I decided to take of work and spend the day at the falls near my house. I must have snapped 200 pictures today. What a great day!! I found a new toy its my infrared lens. The descend from the mount Elit was quite an experience. Only later our guide told us how many accidents happened on this track. We made 1000 meters down in 2 hours, while not moving more than perhaps 100 meters forward. The kind of a pile of sticks on the bottom of the picture is a prototype Papuan ladder. It was semi-helical, extremely slippery and missed lots of steps. I took the photo while waiting for my friends to get completely down, didn’t want to fall on their heads with the whole wobbly contraption. Irian Jaya (Indonesian Papua), Jayawijaya mountains – still some 3500 m.o.s.l.

On a visit to the Jardin Botanique in Montreal I was captivated by the Chinese Garden. Various ponds and streams had huge floating islands of lily pads. But it was not until I rested that I discovered these two lily pads and the reflections, just over the side of the bench I was sitting on. Taken in macro mode. Lets lie here looking at the sky and these pretty flowers. / Now what would this world be like with out this moment together? / You would miss the sound of the bees as they work all day. / And the sound of the breeze as it passes by your lovely face. / You would never know what its like to have a butterfly land on your lips. / And that little ant thats on your shirt as it climbs into your pocket. / And what about the little things that make your nose tickle. / Or all the feelings that you get while looking at a cloud. / And how about that special feeling as you see Gods work. / And this special world thats for you and me so we can lie here kissing. / And most of all you would miss the sound of my heart beating next to yours. / And then you would never know what you do to me.
