have always wanted to capture a big plane landing but could never be there at the right time or having the wind blowing in the right direction. The low clouds helps bring the plane closer than usual….i could almost touch it….hahhah. To see a hugh metal flying over you at approx. 200kph is…...priceless. The jetfuel, the noise…...Perfect. I am NOT a plane enthusiast , but it is fascinating to watch. Sydney “Kingsford Smith” Airport Boeing 747 landing train plane truck car chair Transportation

  • "To the Moon, Alice"
    by BySilent

    US$3.58–US$95.38

In the first quarter of the 21st Century multiple countries are planning to establish permanent lunar colonies. The reasons are many but one of the main reasons are for the resources of the Moon which can be made into components for the human exploration of Mars. / / There are some elements that are in abundance in the lunar environment that will help with the biosphere of Earth. Many scientists are working on processes that will alleviate some of the energy issues that have gotten worse over time. Though the orb called Earth is our home, we as a society are slowly degrading the quality of our home world. / / As we move out into the Universe by first placing permanent colonies upon the lunar surface then outward into our solar system, hopefully, we will take the lessons learned by mismanagement of our home planet’s environment to heart as we move out into the stars. To live within our environment and future environments will allow us to expand outward to new discoveries and worlds which will allow for our species to grow as well as prosper. At the same time the cautionary note should be at what cost to the environments in which we plan to place our imprint. / / Will the lunar surface be scarred with “robotic” strip mining? / Will we unleash environmental disasters by ignoring the history of our own societies mistakes? / Will we honor what we have learned to be more eco-friendly as we begin to explore the vastness of space? / / Only time will tell if we are a society which learns from our mistakes or a society that consumes at all costs even to our own detriment. / / Some groups that you may want to visit and join: / AW Welcome Center / EF Welcome Center / Globes, Spheres and Curves / DaDa Land / Boolean Art / Fantasy Art / Human and Nature / Light and Reflections / Disclaimer

  • The Storm Ahead
    by Jeremy Harrington

    US$4.28–US$114.00

I took this shot from the Windsor turf farms today while following a storm which hit about 5 minutes later.. It is an HDR shot and I think HDR was the right choice as it shows details in both the sky and landscape.. / I have always wanted to try and get a storm shot while down at the turf farms because the scene just looks so typically australian to me.. / I decided to include the gate to break up the scene a bit and add something more to view than just turf and the sky.. / Anyway as usual all comments and/or thoughts are welcome.. / Thanks for having a look! / After a long walk today this is the result / On a walk through the Tillicourty Glen / we saw the view and took the shot / A photo of the distant River Forth flowing slowly to the sea / slightly spoiled by the Smokey stack bellowing white clouds / over the green fields that surround the river on all sides. / On our return through the town we spotted the wild stallion / tied to the gate standing proud and true but still out of place. / Untying him we walked back to the place he longed to be a place / where he’s free the be the wild Stallion he was born to be. / If only life was perfect Image and words are © Copyright 2008 Alan Findlater, All Rights Reserved / and can be purchased via redbubble.com/fincath / no other use is allowed without express permission.

  • Let The Dry Land Appear
    by amarica

    US$3.42–US$91.20

Ge 1:9: ¶ And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so. / Ge 1:10: And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good. / Ge 1:11: And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. / Ge 1:12: And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good. / Ge 1:13: And the evening and the morning were the third day. This is my entry into the For Living Christianity group competition, day three, Genesis. this is a sunset taken a couple of weeks ago here in Irvine, California a few years ago combined with several sunset images I took here in Mohave Valley, Arizona a couple of weeks ago. I used Photoshop CS3 to overlay the images. Then I used Photomatix to enhance the final image into an HDR image. The intent was to create the awsomeness of the creation of the Earth, unlike any other event in history. The power and beauty of our Awsome Creator. Images Do Not Belong To The Public Domain. • Field of Gold
    by Graeme Pettit Photography

    US$4.28–US$114.00

Taken a few miles east of Leicester, near Allexton. Its that time in the UK, just before the wheat gets harvested – heavy heads beginning to nod gently under the weight of the grain, and the weather unable to decide whether it is summer or not, threatening to flatten the crop, just it is ready. Leicestershire is full of distant horizons like this, and the Barley is all but in now, much of the ground already having been put under the plough in readiness for the next crop.
