Another sunrise, this one taken on 09/18/07 at 5:44 AM; we have certainly had our share of brilliant ones this year. More so than normal I think…....I’m not complaining, no not me; I hope they never stop.

I like this image because it is one of those types of pictures where the mood of the picture changes depending on where you focus. If I focus on the darkness just above the water this picture is a little creepy and unsettling. If I focus on the light to the left of the bright blue it is just peaceful and if I look at the moon it is ethereal and unreal and calm.

I played on these rocks as a child, even split my head open on many occasions. Everytime I go back to Fraserburgh, Scotland I love to come and sit here and watch the waves, boats and smell the air, plus I would have some Italian ice cream to keep me company, yes there is a fantastic Italian ice cream parlour there. I hope you like the shot, this one was in the morning. Canon 5D, 24-70mm at 70mm, f/2.8, 1/8 sec, ISO 100. ND 6 used. Dust and scratches removed in photoshop. Saturation and Contrast +2 added in PS.
