I don’t usually do IR shots with people or animals, but this horse was kind enough to stay still for me for 2 seconds. ......................................................................................................... I’ve been playing with this shot for way too long. I’ve done about 8 versions and can’t decide which one, if any, I like best. I’ve looked at the other 7 versions and this one is definately the best, actually by a long way so I’m glad I persisted with it…I think I’m happy with it now….and besides my limited photoshopping skills have run out – I wouldn’t know what else to do with it anyway….lol

I took this shot from the Windsor turf farms today while following a storm which hit about 5 minutes later.. It is an HDR shot and I think HDR was the right choice as it shows details in both the sky and landscape.. / I have always wanted to try and get a storm shot while down at the turf farms because the scene just looks so typically australian to me.. / I decided to include the gate to break up the scene a bit and add something more to view than just turf and the sky.. / Anyway as usual all comments and/or thoughts are welcome.. / Thanks for having a look! A photograph of a bubble on some twigs….much like the other one but this one had a lot more reflections and colors. You can see my camera and my hand in the middle as well. / It is very yellow, I don’t know how that happened, maybe the gloomy grey skies. Most of them are clear with blue and pink streaks. This one reminded me of colored mercury glass. / (I added shadow to bring out the colors more.)

A compilation of two images. The barn was taken on route 220, south of Bedford, PA July 25, 2008 with my Nikon D40x, using the 18-135mm lens. I applied a slight Orton image effect, did some dodging and burning and added some scatter brush strokes in Photoshop. The original barn image was uploaded in August.

This shot was taken on the way home from a motorcycle trip to Dayton, OH. My buddy was getting a little ticked off at my wanting to stop to take this shot, as we tried to outrun the rain. Am I glad we stopped !!! This looked like an old church, that someone then had used as a residence for years. I LOVE the red leather chair on the porch, and the sky was just perfect for HDR. Taken with Nikon D300 and Tokina 12-24mm lens. Post processing included HDR treatment, and some dodge & burn.
