Red Rock National Park, California / Just a few minutes drive from my home. I’m glad I got this shot when I did. Since this shot, a large portion of the colorful rock has collapsed. It’s slowly deteriorating.
Tried something a little different for this one. I positioned the headlights from my truck to shine on the road hoping to get some extra light on the land. / This was a 45s exposure.

Once someone’s pride and joy, now an abandoned wreck outside a ruined building in outback New South Wales.
Bodie Ghost Town in the Seirra Nevada Mountains in Eastern California. This 1800’s Gold town once had a thriving population of 10,000 people. It was a true wild western town with gun fights, saloons and a huge redlight district.
Maybe it was the hunger or the heat, or both; but it didn’t seem to matter how far we travelled across that scorched earth, the rain and the clouds seemed to travel in front of us. Featured on Redbubble Home Page on 2nd July 2009.
Shot this at one of my most favourite places – Tucson, Arizona…. the barren landscape just speaks volumes to me and the discarded fighter jet engines prove the perfect antithesis to the landscape.
This is a dawn photo I took the other day (yes..the ‘sticks” are back!!) and having fun adding the flood filter again…
Unfortunately the skies here in the desert are mostly hazy and full of sand and dust! There are not too many days when there are clear horizons with clouds, and to be able to catch a sunrise like this was just excellent! Located in Libya towards the Algerian border. / /
