Light trails of the standby LED of my computer monitor’s on/off switch in the “Off” state (orange). The international symbol for an on/off switch (a broken circle with a vertical bar through the break) can be seen in bright outline. A five second exposure at macro focus distance and aperture of f/8 with smooth slow camera movement by hand produced the swirling light trails. Copyright © 2008 Brian W. I think this one makes me smile.. I saw it while I was mowing down the road.. Makes the yard look better on approach. Anyway.. I have always liked these and never got the DOF I wanted hand held.. LOL.. So I made it a point to catch some late light since it was on the east side and would catch the late light. I am happy with this.. I am sure there are so many better captures out there..But this one I wanted to share with my new friends at RB.. And ones to come.. Enjoy Give A Friend A Long Time No See Card

One of my favorite times to take photographs is after a gentle summer’s rain. On this particular day it had rained overnight and I went outside as the sun was coming up. Armed with my macro lens and a star filter I captured this pretty raindrop on a dogwood leaf. The gift was the sunbeam in the background as the sun was rising above the trees.
