My great niece Abbey loves her cat Dixie. I got this shot of her as she stared at me in the dark of night.

Martha was painted during my filing for divorce. The figure is in an angry wound-up pose, with arrow in hand, ready to release if pushed any further. It was a loose sketch painted in traditional oils. The face was changed to a mask because I was having to contain my anger at the time to thwart danger in the situation—hence the arrow behind the back but the mask of accommodation. The name is a play on Martha Graham (dancer) and Martha and the Vandellas (the singing group). The blue swirls on top of the red dress also are an attempt to pacify my anger with purer thoughts and activities. Original is a 36” x 48” oil on canvas. This is a cropped portion of a large painting.

this is me… on the dark side… ;) haha.. holding the camera towards me and clicking that button, ‘till the image is just as wanted it :-) / I turned it B&W and played a little with dark tones in Photoshop afterwards :)

This is a close up of Saffy at 10.5 years old. She is my British Blue Shorthair cat and quite a character. She never sits still enough for me to get a shot, so I was quite lucky with this one. This was taken with a Canon DSLR EOS 350D camera and 35-70mm lens.

There is a broken umbrella in the trash. I have so worn slippers. Pick up pieces of a broken mirror. Every day it said the sun rises… I have not seen it today. It rains(...) This is a close up shot and an older attempt at capturing just a portion of what is happening in a scene. I tried to keep the expression mild, but the art tends to have a mind of it’s own anyway and it is what it is.
