A tiny solitary fungai nestles in the crook of a mossy tree stump.
This plant has perfected the capture of rain water, producing almost perfectly spherical drops.
The leaves of this plant have collected the rain drops togehter to form a tiny jewel of water.
There’s an area not far from where I live that has several lotus blossom plants. The lotus blossoms bloom in the summer, yet, there’s no specific time in the summer that they blossom. so it’s really hit or miss. Luckily, I hit the right time. Also, this is the first of several individual blossom shots, and it’s the only one that had the sun backlighting the petals like this.
Taken w/my new Nikon D40x. Thanks for looking….......... :)K My very first photograph to be in an Art Gallery exhibit…......I am so excieted! *
