I picked this rose out of my garden today (smells amazing by the way!!), decided to play around with lighting and this was the effect I achieved. Anyway, I like this one for a first attempt so I thought I will put this one up for a while to hopefully get some constructive criticism.. Also, I would love to know if this photo is to dark or light, I was trying to re-calibrate my monitor and I think I’ve might of messed it up! Anyway enjoy :o) P.S this photo is 100% natural…

This door detail was photographed in Avanos, a small town in the Cappadocia region of central Turkey. The bright colors and old wood of houses and doors in these small towns are often beautiful and always intriguing. The splintered wood, tooled brass lock and handle, and encroaching shadow give this piece a sense of mystery for me.

What’s up with the snake? Well I guess you could say I am working through some demons of mine. Although I have always been fascinated by them and think they are amazing creatures. I have always been tormented in my sleep by them. Usually they are attacking someone I love although they do not hurt me personally no matter what I do they manage to get someone I care for. So this “Symbiosis” is my attempt to console my spirit if you will = )

The chapel at this nursing home was blocked shut to try and keep people out with the organ and a few table heads in front of the door, as you can see though we managed to get in thanks to a bit brute force and being able to push the blockade back far enough to squeeze past it. Im really glad we did as you will see in other pics from this series it was worth it.

Another attempt to use texture on a self portrait. The texture layer is actually simply a photo I took of our lamp in the living room, with the bulb lit (hence the light in the corner of the photo). / Hope you like it.

Old manip. Few hours work with a better outcome than I had expected :) used two stock images. Gained the affect by a multitude of layers/layer propities and displacement layers aswell as the clone tool. Then the usual hue saturation and contrast to worry about. Comments welcome

Taken in a very textured subway. The time of day allowed the end of the tunnel to be well lit up. It worked well as a black and white image.
