Children really look forward to Halloween here. They go from door to door with a bag or little bucket (such as in this photo) and when someone opens the door, they yell “Trick or Treat”! Of course the homeowner always gives them treats.

Frank sitting in the sun smiling. Frank is my Birman cross cat, who found me three years ago, and decided to adopt me. It took two years before he would allow any touching however, but eventually he regained trust. In me, but not other people. Sad to imagine the experiences he must have endured to be feeling this way. He is a wonderful companion and plays a protective role about the place. Even keeps the dog in line!
