I know in my heart what each of them means, but I did not name them anything specific, so that the viewer could make up their own mind as to the meaning of each piece. I think that is something unique to every individual. So…my heartfelt thanks for continuing to watch and support my artistic endeavors. It feeds the fire that burns and inspires. / Aimee

Time! – what a subject! what is time really / when is the right time / time used wisely or squandered / rich moments or emptiness so much we “measure” in time … yet, time is such a subjective thing … We can hear the ominous boom of the clock up in the tower … / or the light and bright little ticktock of a smiley faced clock on the mantle ... so what is time really? ohhhhh what a delight! Self-portrait with the Very Tall Bassist, 2007 So a little background – i occasionally toy with the idea of using other people in photos with me, and models in general…not that i’ll ever stray far from SP’s, but one does crave a little variety now and then – and i have some very willing victims around me, especially of late. / The Very Tall Bassist is not, in fact, “my Man” or anything like that (although, perhaps there’s a bit of the story i’m leaving to the imagination, here…), but he sure has some cool wristbands, no? ;)

“Oh dear! Oh dear! I shall be too late!” Fourth artwork in my new Wonderland series based off of Lewis Carroll’s book “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” In this depiction the white rabbit races against time and against an abstracted background (rabbit holes), his pocket watch on his waistcoat. Original measures 12.5×19 inches, mixed media (oil pastels, colored pencils, metallic paint pen) on light yellow watercolor paper.
