It is almost universally called “Big Ben” — which is actually the main bell housed within the Clock Tower. It is however a instantly recognisable London icon. I had a “Big Ben” shot in mind months before I finally got the UK, and well I found it harder then I expected to get one that I was happy with. Setting up my tripod dangerously close to oncoming traffic and then having to time my long exposure so get a bus driving through the middle was challenging, as I was trying to rear curtain flash the bus as it was leaving the frame. In the end the ones with the flash didn’t appeal to me as much as this one, which I took while trying to get the timing right for my more elaborate idea.

Melbourne Mural / The store was built in 1853 and named Dimelow and Gaylard before the colloquial name was adopted in 1904. That building was destroyed by fire in 1907 and the existing structure was designed by Melbourne architects H. W. & F. B. Tompkins. The clock tower was erected in 1910 and the building’s name changed again to Dimmeys Model Stores to reflect its high fashion status in working-class Richmond. In 2004, artist Hayden Dewar was commissioned to paint a series of murals representing the history of the store and Victoria along the Green Street facade.

Acre (or Akko) is a city in the Western Galilee district of northern Israel. It is situated on a low promontory at the northern extremity of Haifa Bay. This is a picture of the port and marina. The port is located on the south side of the old city of Acre. It was built during the Persian times (6-4thC BC), and is still in use today as a marina. The building in the background is Khan al-Umdan, the hostel of the pillars, is one of the most impressive buildings in the old city of Acre. It is located near the port and was used for storage of goods and a night hostel for the merchants. The tower raises high over the east entrance to the Khan. It was built in 1906 to honor the 30-year Jubilee of Sultan Abdul Hamid II
