  • Forever waiting. Self portrait with timer. Contrast adjustment, no crop.

  • A street photo taken at Changi Airport, Singapore. Using the natural light as backlighting, these people were quickly snapped in silhouetted as they were walking away. I’m surprised how similar these people are. They echoed each other in terms of being in a pair. Also, the pairs in the foreground are single dad with their only child. All this captured at the time 16:57.

I saw it in a vision. I suppose you could also say it’s my subconscious viewpoint on on life, mankind, nature and our current economic situation. Fate later connected me with Peter Oszmann and his succinct poem, it was like our work was destined for eachother’s” – Carrie Glenn “A Fish Out Of Water” / Poem by Peter. J. Oszmann Nature is wise, but Mankind… just bumbling fools. Learn from the living, watch water in motion, Don’t waste your time staring at small stagnant pools. Fish are content to live their life in water, Water is after all their life’s element. There’s no need for them to be an “achiever,” Living, staying alive… that’s accomplishment. But there was one fish wanting something “better”, He wanted “achievement,” he wanted a “first.” He leapt out of water, fins in quick flutter, Taking fast to the sky… but soon died of thirst… / / Peter. Time heals all wounds. Time flies when you’re having fun. Time stands still. Time waits for no one. If I could turn back the hands of Time. Frozen in Time. Timeless…. you get the idea. Well, I wanted to create a series that perhaps captured the essence of these things, in relation to human emotion. And so my Time series was born. I know in my heart what each of them means, but I did not name them anything specific, so that the viewer could make up their own mind as to the meaning of each piece. I think that is something unique to every individual. So…my heartfelt thanks for continuing to watch and support my artistic endeavors. It feeds the fire that burns and inspires. / Aimee

Whew… it’s now 2:00 a.m. and I’m done with this. Including make-up and taking the photo of myself, photoshop, etc 4 1/2 hours of work. I felt the need to make something. I haven’t made a single new piece of art since September and I felt out of touch with myself (yeah everything so far that I’ve poster was “older” work). This is pretty much the vision I had, not quite what I wanted, but my artwork usually never ends up exactly as I had wanted it. I love it regardless. I originally wanted hot pink hair but couldn’t find the right wig that I own that would work for that. This character is kinda like the controller of time, the god Chronos or also known as “Pluto” the god of death and time. Living at the end of time, if you make it angry it’ll warp you into another dimension lol.

Inspired by poetry: What was he saying and to whom / by Alan Michael Parker What was he saying and to whom? / With a silver thermos he left the building; / He paused in the courtyard and turned. / What was he saying and to whom? The building at dawn not yet a building / Paused the way all buildings do. / What was he saying and to whom? Time doesn’t stop; time doesn’t wait; / Time has never moved. / What was he saying and to whom? If the dog had been sleeping / She would not have awakened, / So small was the moment to lose. / What was he saying and to whom? What was he saying and to whom? / The courtyard at dawn was the same / As the sky, the sky swept clean by the moon. / What was he saying and to whom? Good morning, good-bye, I love you, I’ll try. / What was he saying and to whom? Model my fave! Music-Jim Croce

  • Infinity is a long time, especially towards the end. Quote by DAC Art can be viewed much like a dream: when we go to sleep, we do not plan what we will dream. Yet, when we awaken from the dream, sometimes we attempt to psychoanalyze the dream’s meanings and how they relate to our lives. In some cases, analyzing our dreams for meaning can help us better understand ourselves. Perhaps the same metaphor can be used for Surrealist art. Surrealist artists who created their paintings may not have consciously planned the images they would use; yet, as an audience, we attempt to evoke meaning from the images in order to make sense of what the artist’s intention was. Doing this, we make sense of human nature and the relativity of the world around us. Excerpt from: Surrealism Symbols of Relativity by Andrea Martin / I’ve always love the surrealists paintings about relativity and time. Below is a collection of Surrealists work about this theme.

  • Time is the most undefinable yet paradoxical of things; the past is gone, the future is not come, and the present becomes the past even while we attempt to define it, and, like the flash of lightning, at once exists and expires. / ~Charles Caleb Colton Stock credits / Station clock here / Texture here
