This image is an HDR that captures a storm front coming in from Canada that is supposed to bring us some snow for the next few days, after watching the weather forecast i thought i would try to capture the disappearing sun and the incoming front. The Clipper (Parthenos sylvia) is a species of nymphalid butterfly found in South and South-East Asia. It is species found mostly in forested areas. The Clipper is a fast flying butterfly and has a habit of flying with its wings flapped stiffly between the horizontal position and a few degrees below the horizontal. It may glide between spurts of flapping. canon xti

Acrylic on canvas. The Flying Cloud was another painting I did for introducing a chapter in a school textbook. The caption was depiction of the fastest of all the sailing vessels…..the clipper ships. The greatest of these ships were built around 1850. They were slender and pointed, with billowing sails, and designed especially for speed.
