Just a little Iowan fun!
Main Street in Clinton, NJ, Adorned for the holidays.
Nestled outside of Copper Mountain in Colorado, this caught my attention fast as I was coming back home to Denver. It literally came out of no where, and thus I slammed on the breaks and made a B-line for the shoulder of the road. This was an utterly incredible scene, looking like it has never even been touched by man…..standing here looking at this, was nothing but absolute paradise….. / --John —-—-—-—-— See more on my website jdebordphoto.com

Game between the old government and the new candidates. / The shape of this frame and putting nine images together i have used quite often in my artworks. There is a bit different version for dark shirts as well. In my zazzle shop you can find the same design showed on different models, colours and the backside printed with logo and instruction. Plus they print larger and their quality of printing is very good! And some others…
Clinton, NJ – Nov 2007 – Made to look like an Oll Painting
This design imagines Hillary Clinton as a political detergent for Washington D.C. in general, and for the White House in particular. Satirically using a design suggestive of a laundry soap box, this t-shirt recasts the political soap box to be more than just a platform for public speaking, but a more literal cleansing agent. “Gets out stubborn Bush stains”, reads the star in the lower lefthand corner, which, in a more commercial detergent, might only read “new and improved”. This Clinton White House might indeed be new and improved, compared to the last model that the United States bought back in the 1990s, but the message that will resound most profoundly with supporters of the Hillary Clinton for President campaign is that it takes a Clinton to clean up after a Bush.
President Bill Clinton and Monika Lewinski Intern shared a loving relationship and remained his loyal friend till end; unlike. Paula Jones, who became a bit bitter due to her separation. A classical Love Triangle. However, Senator Hillary Clinton a bit diappointed but got wisdom to left it all behind and loved Mr Clinton and establishsed more closer ties with him. The old red mill is a landmark in Clinton, NJ. Built originally as a wool mill in 1810, it was converted in the late 1800’s to a grist mill. Now a museum, with the mill wheel still being powered by the river and falls. Perhaps if we were as smart as our ancestors we would think of a way to generate energy again from free sources of energy like the waves of the oceans, the rivers power, and the wind, phasing out gas, and polution generating sources of energy..

Cross Estate Gardens – Bernardsville, NJ – July 2008 – Shot as an HDR, handheld.
Wow, I’m really scraping the bottom of the barrel pulling this thing out of mothballs! This little bitty was painted quite some time ago (I’m not sure exactly how long but I think Bill Clinton was still in office) It is the result of a lot of extra oil paint laying around, no brushes, no life, and a splitting headache. It’s also quite good at giving people headaches…go figure.
My favorite spot any season, this shot was taken in October when the leaves are changing.. The northern birds come to NJ to overwinter which is why there are so many on the river. The River is the South Branch, the town Clinton, NJ USA. the Old Red Mill is now a working museum, and reflects the historic nature of the town built along the river in the early 1700s. If you’re near by it’s worth a stop. A perfect complement is this image of the Mill Wheel /
The old Red Mill at Clinton. Located just below the confluence of Spruce Run and the South Branch of the Raritan River. The Red Mill was built about 1812 to process wool. In its early days it was not nearly so large, nor was it likely painted red. All through the next one hundred years the structure would be expanded and altered to accommodate different endeavors; the enterprises included grist milling, plaster and talc grinding, graphite processing and peach-basket production. In 1960 five visionary businessmen, just old enough to remember the days of mills, horses and such, purchased the distinctive structure, gave it a new coat of red paint, and started the Clinton Historical Museum. / A few years later the Mulligan limestone quarry to the rear of the mill was added to the property along with the old quarry buildings; a mid-nineteenth century dwelling for workers, a stone shed converted to a blacksmith shop, and the quarry office along with several structures key to the industry; a massive lime kiln, and imposing lime-screening building, a shed for dynamite storage, and a one-man worker’s shack. In the 1970s a one-room school house from Alexandria Township was moved to the site, as well as two long wagon sheds from local churches. A log cabin, representative of the birthplace of Hunterdon County’s Revolutionary War hero General Daniel Morgan, was constructed in 1976. Today the site is known as The Red Mill Museum Village. A wide variety of special programs are offered for schools and the general public. Canon 5D, 28-105Z, South Branch of the Raritan River, Clinton, NJ October 2008
