The Matterhorn in Zermatt was and still is a major accomplishment for mountaineers worldwide. As with any serious mountain peak, weather can be extremely unpredictable and volatile presenting climbers with tough decisions which can endanger lives in the challenge. This window was broken by 40km/hr winds the day before the shot was taken!

This shot was made while hiking one of Irelands favourite mountains, The Mourne Mountains, Newcastle Ireland. The wall to the right runs through the mountains for 27 miles and this shot was made on our second day, nearing the end of our 2 day hike of the wall. Along our journey we encounterd ice crystals as long as 6ft in an abandoned quarry. Many thanks for looking Stevie
