  • “The Clifton Suspension Bridge, spanning the beautiful Avon Gorge, is the symbol of the city of Bristol. For almost 150 years this Grade I listed structure has attracted visitors from all over the world. Its story began in 1754 with the dream of a Bristol wine merchant who left a legacy to build a bridge over the Gorge. The first competition in 1829 was judged by Thomas Telford, the leading civil engineer of the day. Telford rejected all the designs and submitted his own but the decision to declare him the winner was unpopular and a second competition was held in 1830. 24 year old Isambard Kingdom Brunel was eventually declared the winner and appointed project engineer – his first major commission.” This photo was taken on a 30 second exposure, at night from the foot path up to the Camera Obscurer, showing the bridges new lighting.

  • The search goes on to find any clues to bring out information about this structure as well the many Anasasi ruins, on our visit we discovered the thrill of having a storm come thru during our visit, within minutes the entire area was cast with this facinating Glow of gold adding to the mystique! shortly after this appearence I did remember that in my stash of filters was the tool to help emphasize the golden view. I’ve witnessed from the film days few used filtration within the general photography camera tool complement. now that I’m into recovery of some of my best works in the film period of learning, no doubt to express a finer moment captured, this place at Mesa Verde is one of the favorite views, but the angle is special, because I turned around as we were leaving this particular community, from observation that was a stroke of luck because of the moments offering, hoping you enjoy one of my film days learning experiences, located South of Cortez Colorado 1994 Yashica Electro-X TL

  • This was taken on the recent Otway and Great Ocean Road group trip with 2 mates After the Red Woods and Triplet Falls we headed for the Tourist Hot Spot of the 12 Apostles which there are only 7 to 8 left. I love the cloud in the top centre, it is like it is replicating the waves of the ocean… This show was taken with my Fisheye, some of my best shots have been taken with this lens. Sony DSLR Alpha 350 / F-Stop 13.0 / Exp Bias +0.3 step / Exposure 1/500 sec / ISO Speed ISO-100 / Focal Len 16mm Fisheye (24mm)

  • Arkansas Hwy 112 / Such a scenic drive, and as you can see there are no places to pull over to take a shot, but fortunantly it not a really busy highway, but still one takes their life in their own hands to get an image! :O) Some scenes are just worht it! / I love the lighting here of the low setting sun, and the saturated colors of the bluff line, and Arkansas is known for its blue/gray asfault, which intensifies in the shadows.
