  • East Sussex seascape of beachy head. / This is probably the most photographed scene in east Sussex. A beautiful place to walk and there’s a great pub at the end. So you go do your photography before or things can get a little blurry after a pint or 8.

  • In Canyon De Chelly Az. These are the famous cliff dwellings that Ansel Adams photographed. When I visited that area of the southwest a couple rolls of film were overexposed, particularly the ones from this area. I liked this shot anyway however and have worked on it with photo shop. The southwest in daylight is harsh and part of what one remembers about the area.

  • This shot was taken outside of Fort Bragg, California.

  • Russell Falls in Tasmania Click on the photo and see the larger view on this one! Thanks for visiting! / I really appreciate your comments.

  • Ink on paper illustration. A sad, pretty, awkward girl atop a cliff. The work inspired a gorgeous piece of writing by Nicole Ryan called Dangling Ankles

  • This is about as good as it gets at Kai Iwi – not too much wind, beautiful sunny day, a little bit of surf… / To see another perspective see Mike Emmett’s image here You can see this piece up close and personal at The Makeshift Gallery, Cnr of Brunswick and Leicester St, Fitzroy, Melbourne / Saturday and Sunday 12-5pm

  • This frozen waterfall was such an inspiring sight… / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography

  • Another in the Masters series. / This is the centre part of a long panoramic watercolour. By Thomas Bush Hardy, 1895. I’ve moved some of the boats to be closer together, as my version is a small painting, 10×7 inches, on rough Bockingford tinted cream paper, 140lb. I will be painting the full length seascape in the future.

  • My version of a Thomas Bush Hardy (1842-97). From an 1895 watercolour of Ramsgate Harbour. A panoramic shaped painting, 23” x 10”. / Hand-made, 140lb rough paper. Over 20 hours work. Multiple layers of semi-transparent and opaque watercolour, and white zinc gouache for highlights. Viewing in larger size is necessary.

  • Another fine piece of art created by the uber-talented Cliff Vestergaard using my image of Teagan All Dressed Up If you’re not familar with Cliff’s work I highly suggest you head on over and wander through his portfolio… it’s guaranteed to astound and mesmerize you.

  • This is the view overlooking this amazing glassed space at Scarborough Spa backwards the remains of Scarborough Castle, over looking it’s harbour. There is evidence that people have lived on the hill that looked out over Doggerland since prehistory. Shot in the South Bay of Scarborough in North Yorkshire Featured on Redbubble Feature page

  • the gaping gap and the blinding charge / the furious race and the no holds barred / the one way ticket and the one way back / the tickled pink victim turned tickle black the greased light lollipop and the sticklebrick cold / the rocks of revenge and the ghosts of old / the nothing I’d know if I could be so bold / the ocean’s for taking but if it’s taken I’m sold the water suggesting unsuitable sea / the barren thought process and impassioned pleas / the perilous cod beats the arbroath smokie / the traditions die out with the red kite’s aerie the unconventional folly, ideas flawed by design / the whispering menace hath no reason or rhyme / the toast of the tide as it falls into line / then a generous saviour, you were lucky this time —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- Location: Auchmithie, Angus, Scotland © Donald Cameron 2009 / Monophotography.co.uk

  • Location / St Margaret’s Bay, Kent, England August 2009: Taken 45 minutes before sunrise and facing away from where the sun rises from. The glow of red above the famous white cliffs are those from the docks at Dover which handles the cross channel ferries to France (one of the busiest shipping lanes in the world)

  • let us pray for the good men now raging war / against vicious tremendous old sea / under moonlit mile sparkle dust decoration and let us pray for the tattered old hands / wrinkled and shrivelled by time and by tears / weeping gently at the daily swell and let us pray that the mighty strata / safely points its layered mass west into / bitter chills and tower block waves and let us pray the callous sea claims not a life / unforeseen, unexpected, unheard / in the unkempt space beyond visible horizon and let us pray their return is as swift as their exit / bringing catch to make pockets fall heavy / and crowds of well-wishers to line harbour walls and let us pray that the efforts of trawlermen / are rightly commended on plate and on deck / and on lips served by the call of the sea —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- Location: Downpatrick Head, Co. Mayo, Ireland © Donald Cameron 2009 / Monophotography.co.uk After it was pointed out that this looked like the front of a ship, I wrote an alternate poem, and the original will fit with another image to follow.

  • a blast of shadows / feast on towers of immovable ink / watch them, watch them / fill their bilious stomachs with / the rhythm of black watch gun salutes white dove prowls restless beneath / waiting for word / on the whereabouts of bright day / last seen served on platters / to aforementioned suspects call in for backup / pulse gone, voice gone / save the stacked mass of ages / from the unsettled moment / and a face of scars curse you, the darkest of times —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- Location: Downpatrick Head, Co. Mayo, Ireland © Donald Cameron 2009 / Monophotography.co.uk I wrote another poem and title for my previous image , and transferred the other poem to here, in case there’s any confusion :)
