Wide is his blow and his hands move quick. / The Ringer looks around and is beaten by a blow, and curses the old snagger with a bare-bellied yeo. / Out on the board the old shearer stands, grasping his shears in his long, bony hands. / Fixed is his gaze on a bare-bellied yeo. / Glory, if he gets her, wont he make the Ringer go! This series, taken today on my farm (16/12/08) is in honour of my Dad – a wool industry man his entire life. I grew up listening to his stories of the wool sheds, complete with tales of drunkard shearer’s cooks! Featured in MEN APPRECIATION GROUP December, ‘08 / /

My 3 year old daughter Tilly is quite happy to have control over the new remote I just bought for my camera, she happily clicks clicks clicks and then excitedly runs back to see her photo. I like this one because it’s all about her eyes and usually she is sticking her tongue out or making a funny face (as taught to her by her father !!) I had some lace hanging up as a backdrop for my pregnant belly shots so she decided to go behind it and take a picture.

I took the last photo using continuous shooting.. this is the photo that was taken directly before it… you can see how much the train has moved in between shots. / I have another reason for this posting… some folks will know I was about to go on holiday in America next week.. due to unfortunate circumstances I have had to cancel it until a later date.. / I intend to keep posting photo’s, but it will be of local places, as I am needed close by….
