  Is it just me?All of a sudden I had a feeling of “Jo,you are getting cluttered” / This morning I woke up and thought gotta get my priorities in order,in order to give my best. So I deleted a couple of sites that I had only just joined,which I joined in order to help promote people,but got so stretched it gave me less time for everything else,which was totally my own silly doing,not being computor literite,it was a struggle,and I couldn’t give it my all,so it was making me sad.I removed myself from a group because I felt I could not keep up. / So I feel like a new person my easel is waiting,and I have more time for Bubbling and I will do my best to promote you in my journal and promote Bubble by encompassing it my day to day contacts ,at my expo’s ect. / Gosh sometimes you have to stop, take stock,and admit to yourself you are spreading yourself thin.Today is that day.Sorry to waffle on but even this journal is part of the tidy up. / My pastels are calling…LOL:):) / Thanks for listening,....:)

  I’m realizing the importance of continually evaluating my gallery to make sure what’s there is my current best. Perhaps photos were my best 8 months ago, but boy have I learned a LOT since then! I thought it was wonderful when I first took it; now I hardly want to look at it. So why should I make anyone else undergo the same suffering? :) I’m sure I’ll say the same thing in a year about the photos I’m taking now. But that’s the beauty of improving and changing. Cleaning out, having new distaste for something you created a while ago, just means you ARE improving and changing. It means you have a newer, better standard! If I can’t tell if I took a photo yesterday or five years prior, maybe I need to step out of my box, and work on being a little more creative, learning new processes and techniques. So I just cleared out maybe six or eight images for a total of almost 1600 fewer views in my counter. It’s hard to remove something with a lot of views, but I just had to do it. I’m sorry if your favorites are now gone – but feel free to peruse and find something new that you love. :) Anyone have any thoughts on gallery housekeeping?

  Total lunar eclipse tonight. The moon will be in full eclipse when it rises here in Perth. We will get to see it come out of eclipse over a period of almost three hours. I hope we have a bit of a break in the weather, but not holding my breath. But I will be prepared. I have camera battery on charge, SD card ready, telephoto lens out, tripod at the ready. I would love to get a photograph of the blood red moon while it’s still in full eclipse.

  Well, having submitted about three (or is it four now?) of these entries promising a sort out, I have finally got round to it. I have removed about fifty photographs, to enable me to put new ones in my gallery. I want to try and keep my folio limited to 150 photos, so that viewers don’t get lost or bored, but trimming down is really hard! I am still 25 off my target, but really don’t want to remove some of them- either they have been favourited (Thank You king people!) or I really like them! Oh the dilema. The photos I have removed are just hidden so if you particularly miss one, I can re-instate it. So all thats left for me to do now is to upload more! I have a large selection, so even more tricky decisions. Its a hard life this one, is it not :-P.

  Since buying the new Sony SLR camera and taking 100’s of photos, I have decided to go through my portfolio and remove a lot of the old photos, except for any that have been favourited, so that I keep it a bit ‘fresher’! Does anyone else do that? I mean, remove certain artwork after some time.

  Ok, so in about three weeks (give or take some relaxation time) I will have finished my first year of the post graduate degree, and will have more evening time (I am desperatly hoping for a day time job) to sort my photos etc. Therefore I will have a big clean out- I think that seven pages is too much for people to willingly look at, so I will reduce it down to 100 images (getting rid out about thirty odd). If you have any thoughts as to which ones should stay/ go (I won’t be offended) please let me know. I may try and rotate the images for public viewing, and will hopefully add more over the summer. Thoughts are always welcome
