This is one of my personal faves. It was taken about 20 minutes after the Blue Wet Zebra. / The clouds were dark, the sky was colourful. / As i was fiddling with the cam, the sun came up like this! And the window was still dripping in a cool way. / I like this, coz it got my favourite colours in it!! As is! / 928 views / A bit abstract isnt it. Best viewed LARGE! Larvikite occurs only in the Oslo-rift. It originally crystallised at a depth of 3 to 4 km below the earth’s surface. The rock is typically pale or dark grey in colour and is composed mainly of feldspar. The characteristic blue sheen seen in reflected light, is caused by slight difference in composition and layering of the feldspar crystals. Larvikite is an exclusive building stone used all over the world. In London the ground floor of Harrods is laid with larvikite also used as a facing stone on numerous other buildings. The rock on this island was carved by the heavy glaciers during the ice age and created a magnificent landscape. You will find many of my seascape captures from this place. This is a photo very similar to one I posted last year. As you might discover I have used a different processing this time and that together with the slightly different angle and composition made me post this view again. I can not quite make up my mind which version I like most but I believe I like the composition better on this one.

A hot air balloon that is so brilliant and colorful that rainbows simply refuse to appear in its presence! The photo is totally “un-touched”, straight from the camera. It was taken with a Canon EOS 10D with a Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L telephoto zoom lens @ 200mm. The shutter speed was 1/350th sec at f/16. The camera’s ISO was set to 100. A Manfrotto tripod was used.
