I took this picture on the steepest island of the world…La Palma (canarian islands). Although it’s the steepest island of the world it’s very rare that it’s snowy on top of the biggest vulcanic mountain. / It was a lucky week so I drove all the way up to the “Roche De Los Muchachos”>>> / (3000 metres high). Shortly before I reached the top a little cave caught my attention. / I went inside and discovered beautiful, thick icicles. The energy there was incredible….it felt pure….above the clouds…elements. check what the product looks like here thank you for stopping by!
Green Dragon on a yellow umbrella.
messin around with dragons again!

A funny thing happened on the way to Mt. Rainier well before sunrise. I noticed the morning mist rising over Clear Lake and the cirrus clouds fanning out above them and decided that a glorious sunrise on the lake was worth more than a maybe on the mountain. I fumbled my way in the dark via flashlight to the lakes edge and had time to search for composition before the heavens lit up. Not a bad way to start a day at all.

/ Tobermory is a gorgeous little town on the northern tip of the Bruce Peninsula in Ontario. It’s harbor not only filled with luxury yachts but also with a lot of shipwrecks, which makes it a divers paradise. It’s part of the Fathom Five National Marine Park of Canada. Luckily for me you don’t have to dive to discover a few of the shipwrecks. Luckily because I spent to much time underwater once, without diving gear, and I’m not inclined to submerge myself for longer periods under water. ;) This beauty caught my eye when strolling along the shore, with the duck approaching, I had to hurry but I was just in time to capture it. This image is one of my most popular wallpapers on my wallpaper website and I hope it will make me proud here also. I was having my coffee this morning on the balcony while watching the rain and it gave me an idea so here it is! This was taken of the rain coming down on the balcony balustrade with the clouds in the background. I know that there are lots of amazing captures of splashes here on RB but this image really wasn’t about the splash, to me, it was more about the capture of morning rain. Best viewed large :o) Nikon D200 / 18-200mm lens, 5.6f / exposure 1/320 / processed in RAW

3200 ISO is a brave new world for me. As a self confessed low ISO junkie, one who used Ektar 25 film whenever and wherever he could for many years because I wanted tight grain, the tighter the better, I would pull out all the stops I could to use that amazing ISO 25 film! For sure I’d never gone above ISO 1000 and then only to shoot indoor sporting events. Low ISO was(?) a hang-up for me! But I wanted to try astral photography and high ISO can get you there! However as we all know high ISO leads to increased noise which is something fairly new to me. You can use software and Photoshop plugins but I’ve been considering, one way to control noise would be to minimize or eliminate it by keeping the ISO as low as possible and that’s one way I‘m leaning. So in that regard it looks like a fast 50 prime is in order! It’s fun to be experimenting and learning, eh! Camera Model Canon EOS 50D / Tv( Shutter Speed ) 30 / Av( Aperture Value ) 3.5 / ISO Speed 3200 / Focal Length 18.0mm / Flash at 1/16 power and about 12 or 13 paper towels for diffusion. “One Night Under the Milky Way” was shot at Flamber Head on Newfoundland’s East Coast Trail For more information please visit Brian’s Homepage or on Flickr
