In creating this image I wanted to create a strong mood. I used a lamp with a clip on the end and clipped it to the shower curtain rod. I pointed it down at the subject. Put the camera on a tripod. Converted to black and white and experimented with contrast and effects.

this flower – these flowers are on a little girls grave; her name is Malika. She was killed in a fire in her house; her screams could be heard but no one could do anything..I always put flowers on her grave whenever I go there. Her grave is close to my mothers grave, under a tree.

A very simple image, less complex than my other seascapes but so striking, I love the Lord of the Rings trilogy and this has the back remains of Mordor stone washed clean Gandalfs trailing beard and the forces of Light over Darkness! – pure Bulls#8t but it works for me. East opens the day at dawn, / Releasing the Sun / From night’s ebony box. / The mind awakes / with childlike delight. / Spring fills the breeze / with sweet flowers and the / shimmery sound of bells. / Here the birds unfurl their wings / and all the world takes flight. Elizabeth Barrette Ostara brings an optimistic energy as we celebrate the beginning of Spring and a turning point as the Northern Hemisphere once again tilts back towards the Sun. Until this tilt takes place, now is the time of balance – equal day and night – yet also a time of anticipation, as from this night forward, the light once again conquers the darkness. Another from the bathroom shoot I did not too long ago. (Spitting Blood being another). The original colour of my bathroom sink is a very masculine light pink.. so I took a monochrome photo of it instead lol. Playing around with levels of contrast and brightness gave me a darker look to the shot. I then added 3 layers of grimy, scratchy texture to it. This work was created and completed at midnight!
