A couple of six-point bucks testing their manliness yesterday. The fights are getting a little more intense day by day. I was caught without my camera when two of the larger bucks were going at it, but this was a good substitute.

View from west side of Loch Lomond. The snow capped Ben Lomond can just be seen through the terrential rain to the right. Loch Lomond has the largest surface area of fresh water Loch in the UK. The Loch is 24 miles long and five miles wide and at its deepest point is some 600 feet deep. On the Loch there are approximately 38 Islands, some of them inhabited and there is even a Hotel on one, Inchmurrin. The Loch is crossed by the Highland Boundary Fault and exhibits the physical characteristics of both highland and Lowland Scotland. Some 200 species of birds and over 25% of Britain’s wild plants have been recorded in the area.

this pitcher came about because of my son, he’s a collector and yugioh duleist and since he started i have kept a folder of the fairys and other light monsters that he see as naff because there no use in a dule. but i like the images and think some of his creatures are well drawn but not to my taste and he can spend a fortune on them. So i had my own littel victory with this image and had great fun drawing it and coming up with the consept. hope you enjoy it

Who knew one flower could have so many different textures. Its an odd photo, but its always interesting to see what the macro lens reveals…

Found on the balcony outside my bedroom window one evening recently. The spider was dead already. You can see the trail (of spider blood?) he left as he staggered away after their deathly embrace. The spider must have bitten the bee before the bee then stung it. The bee seemed partially paralysed, he just sat there moving his legs uselessly. You can see remnants of the spider’s web he bumbled into still on his tail end. The Bumble Bee was gone the next morning… Shot with 50mm macro on auto so the flash would fire!

The shoot was titled “Clash” as the model wore strips, spots and many other items of clothing that clashed with each other to create an interesting effect. To further add to this otherwise fairly standard modeling shot, i applied a texture layer to the photograph and made it all sepia to give it a strange overall finish.
