Reverence – Faithless / OR / Reverence – Faithless with lyrics Vertical Card OR Horizontal Card / MCN:C7EC9-83BBE-E3D37 Excerpt from The Seat Of The Soul by Gary Zukav (Reverence – Chapter 3 Page52/53) Reverence is a perception, but it is a holy perception. The perception of holiness is not one we use continually. It is one that we apply to religion, but not to the process of evolution or the learning process of the human Life, and so we do not approach the need to learn and all of the learning experiences of our lives with regard for their purpose against the background of spiritual development. Perceiving in this way is true reverence, because it allows you to look at what you are going through and to see it within the framework of the evolution and the maturation of your own spirit. It is true reverence, because it enables you to look at all the evolutions that are taking place simultaneously with your own, in all the kingdoms of Life, and fully appreciate, or at least see very differently, how they unfold. Only when we see through eyes that lack reverence, for example, does the feeding of one animal upon another appear to be a cruel system instead of one where species learn to give to each other, where there is a natural give and take and sharing of the energies between kingdoms. This is ecology: the natural redistribution of energy between kingdoms. It is only our kingdom, the human kingdom, that wants to warehouse energy, to use much more than it needs and to store what it does not, so that the balance of the cycle is disturbed so dramatically. If each of us took only what he or she needed for that day, it would be perfect. Animals do not warehouse like us, except in the case of animals that need to for winter. The perception of reverence allows us to see the interdependency of different species from a more comprehensive and compassionate perspective. It allows us to see the significance of each living creature, and its experiences, to the compassionate unfolding of the Universe. This perspective is much less likely to create violent or destructive responses within us as we grow through our lives because it reveals in each moment the value of all Life. Approaching and regarding Life with an attitude of reverence permits the experience of being unempowered but not cruel. As you work toward becoming reverent, your tendencies toward harming others and other forms of Life diminish. As you acquire a sense of reverence, you develop a capacity to think more deeply about the value of Life before you commit your energy to action. When you are fully reverent, you cannot harm Life, even though you are unempowered. Without reverence the experience of being unempowered can become a very cruel one because a disempowered person is a frightened person, and if a frightened person has no sense of reverence, he or she will harm or kill indiscriminately. Reverence is a level of protection and honor about the process of life so that while a person is maturing toward the journey of authentic empowerment, he or she harms nothing. Because we have no reverence, our journey to empowerment often includes the experiences of victimizing life. Therefore, there are victims and victimizers. The process of destroying Life while we are learning about Life that has characterized our evolution would cease, or at least would be very different, if we approached life with a quality of reverence. It is because we have no sense of reverence, no true belief in the holiness of all Life, that Life is destroyed and tortured, brutalized, starved and maimed while we journey from unempowerment to empowerment. If a sense of reverence were brought into the process of evolution, then as each of us, and our species, move through the cycle of being unempowered to becoming empowered, the many leanings that are contained within that growing process of evolution would not likely produce violence and fear to the extent that it is now experienced. The destructions of human Life, plant Life, animal Life, and the planet would be considerably diminished, or would cease, if there were an active principle of reverence within our species, if there were the perception within our species, and within each of us, that although we are engaged in evolutionary processes that require personal learning, that does not authorize us to destroy Life while we are learning, or because we are. We would not have the karmic energy of destruction, only of learning. Even though learning is contained in destruction, the karmic consequences of participating in violence and destruction are a high price to pay for it. It is not necessary, in other words, to learn what we need to learn and have it cost somebody his or her life. It is not necessary for progress and the experience of progress to cost the destruction of nature. It is not necessary, but without a sense of reverence for Life, who cares that it destroys Life? Without reverence, Life becomes a very cheap commodity, as it is upon our planet now where the entire process and the sacredness of evolution is not regarded, accepted, or honored. If we perceived Life with reverence, and understood our evolutionary process, we would stand in awe at the experience of physical Life and walk the Earth in a very deep sense of gratitude. As it is, there are billions of human beings who are filled with regret that they are on the Earth, with overwhelming experiences of pain, despair, discouragement, depression, starvation and disease. These are the things of our planet. They result largely from the fact that so much of the human condition is without reverence.

  • © C J Lewis. Digital art created using ArtRage for painting and PhotoPlus6 for air-brushing, smudging, blending, stretching, colouring & sizing. Also available as Horizontal AND Vertical Cards / MCN:CC91E-E284F-4C263 Dance Into The Light This is part 2 of the series Dancing preceded and followed by: 1. Dancing In The Dark / 2. Dancing In The Light (this one) and, / 3. Dancing In The Light Of Love Dancing In The Light gives light for direction of the mind. Those that dance in the light have direction. They consider what it is they think but do not react to those thoughts if they are not within their guidelines of living their life in a pleasant manner. They have knowledge of conscience – what is the right and wrong thing to do with their thoughts to put such into action. They have eaten from both the Tree Of Life for the physical experience and the Tree of Knowledge with limited views for learning the process of life. They are, to a degree, consciously aware in their being and so, to a degree, filter their thoughts to receive the reactions to their action of thinking. In new incarnations they may also choose to eat from the Tree of Wisdom so as to make their experiences even more pleasant for themselves and others. © C J Lewis, 2008

  • © C J Lewis. Digital art created using ArtRage for painting and PhotoPlus6 for air-brushing, smudging, blending, stretching, colouring & sizing. DECEMBER 2008 FEATURED IN Unconventional Artistry group / JANUARY 2009 FEATURED IN Light In The Darkness group Also available as Horizontal AND Vertical Cards In The Light Of Love / MCN:C5BB2-58A78-5FDF5 This is part 3 of the series Dancing preceded by: 1. Dancing In The Dark AND 2. Dancing In The Light Dancing In The Light Of Love is all direction from the Heart in conjunction with the mind. When this is also joined with reverence then the mind has little or no input. All direction comes directly from the heart as instantaneous knowing. Those that dance in the light of love have direction with connection to the body and mind. Those that dance in the light of love with reverence have complete direction from the heart and therefore have body, mind and spirit all moving as one: a wholeness for this present life as is with direction of knowledge, vision and wisdom with truth. They have eaten from the Tree Of Life, sometimes with no desire to do so but as a duty to the higher order to benefit the All: humans, animals, flora & fauna, planets: the Universe in its entirety, from the Tree of Knowledge: comprehension of the teachings of the process of life, the Tree of Wisdom: knowing the outcomes of the ways of choices of their being, and the Tree of Truth: the understanding of the process of life through the experiences encountered through their eternal life: past and present. They are consciously aware of their being with a high degree of understanding of the process of life. They also help others to come into the light with reverence if others so desire. This is the pathway to the conscious state of Heaven for eternal life. They understand the outcomes if they do not live with reverence as well as light. Mother Teresa (1910-1997) had the knowledge of dancing in the light of love with reverence when making the statement: ‘Ask me to an anti-war rally and I won’t come. Ask me to a peace rally and I will be there’. Mother Teresa understood the process of life as being the energies of which we govern by what we allow to be emitted to the ethers of life and therefore focused her desire in the correct manner, focusing on peace knowing the meaning of Peace Begets Peace and War begets War. / / © C J Lewis, 2008

  • © C J Lewis. Mixed media art created from a photograph and altered on computer to finished art work using PhotoPlus6 for painting, air-brushing, toning, sizing and filters. Having cured myself of a few diseases over the decades..one of which I was told I would need an operation for or would be dead within 17 days (that was back in 1984) and which shocked the medical profession by my doing so… as well as still working on a terminal one of the kidneys and liver…I have come to realize that disease comes from being dis-at-ease within the body…and the mind-set of believing that the diseases exists. NB: I am of a VERY strong faith & belief in the greater power that is…God…source energy or whatever tag you apply to your belief…so do not stop taking your medication or going to your doctor…unless you are also highly consciously aware thereby having the power to heal yourself. If interested please Contact Me MAY 2009 FEATURED IN Art In Math group For A Laugh The Koala (Phascolarctos cinereus) is a thickset arboreal marsupial herbivore native to Australia, and the only extant representative of the family Phascolarctidae. The koala is found in coastal regions of eastern and southern Australia, from near Adelaide to the southern part of Cape York Peninsula. Populations also extend for considerable distances inland in regions with enough moisture to support suitable woodlands. The koalas of South Australia were largely exterminated during the early part of the 20th century, but the state has since been repopulated with Victorian stock. The koala is not found in Tasmania or Western Australia. / (Reference) / MCN:C0640-B709A-01613

  • © C J Lewis. Oils on stretched canvas 24”x 24”. This was done as a take on the Beatles song “When I’m 64” as I was inspired by what looked like two elderly people in the photograph (below) that gave me the inspiration to paint this work. The other faces depicting masks they may have worn as younger people. You can view progression shots of this and other paintings I have been doing for my solo exhibiton here / MCN:C582F-23F89-11FB6 Below is the photograph I used for the inspiration for this painting.

  • © C J Lewis. Oils on stretched canvas 20”x 30”. This painting depicts the love of a mother reaching out from across the Great Divide – the other side of life – as denoted by the cross running down the centre of the painting and the ethereal quality of the mother. The girl has her eyes open due to her awareness of being whereas the boy still is to awake to life’s energy functions. The poem below was written in honour of my mother on her passing. I was sitting at my computer working when at 10pm on the Wednesday before her death she went into a coma in Gosford Hospital – she called my name and I knew then she was leaving this dimension soon. I immediately got up and said out loud: ‘It’s ok mum … dad will open the door for you’. I then sat down and composed this poem. Our mother died at 5pm the following Friday. JULY 2009 FEATURED IN Peace Love & Tranquility group / MCN:CCD72-6FFDB-969C9 MOTHER (MY LADY OF THE ROSES) Our mother was naturally beautiful / A woman in every way / Our mother was loving / And so caring / And always had her say / Every brand new day / As a child / I saw her gently tending her roses / With emotion so very deep / For the beauty that she saw in the flowers / Was from her heart / And her beauty made me weep / And the light of love surrounding her / Translucent skin with no flaw, I saw / Maybe, to others, as mother and daughter / We were constantly at war / Like two fires brought together / The flames of love did roar / ‘Tis a love that will be in our hearts for evermore / And Mother, I heard you call to me / In spirit last night / Mother you need not be in fright / For God, our Father will take you through the door / Back to his heavenly home once more / Where relatives and friends are waiting / And you will be the belle of the ball / Though your body may seem missing / You’ll see it as before you took your flight / In Holy Spirit to soar / As you pass through / Deaths door / And we will always be together / As we have before. © – C J Lewis, 2000
