  • Architecture is music in space, as it were a frozen music. Friedrich Wilhelm Joseph von Schelling (1775 – 1854)

  • An early morning walk through Civic.

  • NO PHOTOSHOP! I could also have titled this “Happy Accident 2”. This is a traditional double exposure that happened by accident. Elvis was shot on a large screen, projection [ancient] TV. I had to take the color film out mid-roll to do a B/W assignment. I put the color back in + shot the steel support work in a window @ the Chicago Civic Ctr. [now the Cultural Ctr.]. Apparently, I was one frame off when I advanced the film again + got this perfect super imposed image.

This is my Honda Civiic, a very modern car. I thought I would use an industrial backdrop and a late evening sun, and then HDR processed. *See other photos on my NEW website at www.andyharris-photography.com * Click here to see some of my other Red Bubble categories Flowers / Autumn Collection / Paris / Wildlife / HDR / Skies / Clothing

  • I shot this image on the 26th November 2007, at Wolverhampton Civic Hall, in the Black Country. / However, all is not as it seems in this picture, the boxer on the canvas had not been rendered horizontal by a stealthy upper cut, but had lost the fight on pionts. He dropped to the floor in disbelief at the result, allowing me to get this image. / I’ve been following West Midland boxers and kickboxers for the last couple of years, shooting in the gyms and sports clubs, as they prepare for their bouts. I’ll be putting more shots up asap.

  • One man’s “magic” is another man’s engineering. “Supernatural” is a null word. Robert A. Heinlein (1907-1988)

  • Castel Nuovo
    by tomg

    US$4.28–US$114.00

Castel Nuovo and the Civic Museum in Naples Italy. This castle also known as Maschio Angioino, was built between 1279 and 1282 by Charles of Anjou. Later the castle was completely changed by Alfonso of Aragon in the 15th century. It is located at Naples Harbour. Its 3 dark towers were built from lava stones of Mount Vesuvius. The Chapel of St Barbara, originally decorated by Maso di Baco, remains from the French period. At the entrance of the castle is the magnificent Arch of Triumph, built to commemorate the Aragonese victory. The castle houses the Civic Museum which contains 15th and 20th century paintings and sculptures primarily from Neapolitan churches.
