This shot was made one late afternoon several minutes before sundown. The perfect placement of the large cloud over Manhattan puts this shot over the top.

Such a wonderful word, the River Ouse, famous for looking dark brown and being extremely clean ( colour due to the high iron content ), flooding to the joy of several photographers, tourists and the odd duck, boat trips and the odd glass of beer by the riverside in summer, well if you can find a space. Shot in the early morning with the sun just starting to rise behind the clock and Skeldergate bridge in the background, the Woodsmill featured in Location Location Location, the small flat with beams and large price tag. To the left is Kings Snaith and to the right Queens Snaith, with York’s most photographed pub, normally when under water and still serving drinks on the left.

This view of the 911 memorial lights taken from Brooklyn heights has been enhanced to bring the docks and path on the Brooklyn side into a sharp contrast. The lights of the Brooklyn Bridge connect the City and in the distance, barely visible the current tallest building in New York, The Empire State. HDR image – 9 images passed through photomatix and merged back into photoshop.
