BnW Version of Lt Bourke PL which was submitted previously (with 30D) Mamiya RB67 + 50mm + Fuji Provia 100 / Converted to BnW in CS. And try in a square format. Will upload the square format in color at later stage. All Rights Reserved. I just got the film developed last week … hmmm, I should be careful about that light rays from the right hand side of the lens. Easy to reshoot right away with digital, not so much with film … Regards, / Sidqie Djunaedi
As the last light of the day fades the city lights take over, and a different side of Melbourne appears.
While wandering around a multi storey car park in / Docklands, Melbourne, looking for shots, I looked / over the edge to see this site. I only had until the lights / turned green to capture this amazing colour quirk. / Nothing added and no colours changed, / seven red cars caught in time…. /
By the Yarra in Melbourne. Also available in black and white.
B/W version of “One night in Melbourne”.
Shot from the roof garden of Crown casino – showing an austere view of the Melbourne cityscape. There were all these cool air conditioning vents and massive cooling towers amidst this very well thought out landscape of hedges…
Nice windy night i was surprised how this shot came out.
I love the yarra at night, I didnt expect this shot to come out how it did, hope you like.
I always think some city shots will look great in black and white. At the same time, I was trying my hands on HDR photography. This shot came about as my first attempt to HDR. The highly desaturated colour works well in giving it an almost Gotham City like mood – though it was purely an accident. You see, I had taken my shots in B&W, though for some reason Photomatix reads in colour information from my RAW files too.
A view of Melbourne from near the Bolte Bridge at the old disused docklands. 3 shot HDR Click here for my other images of Melbourne
Pulled out of the archives from a while ago… A 3 exposure HDR in Photomatix software. This photo was taken with my old Canon 300D, I had a fair bit of trouble deciding what white balance to go with but I think it worked out ok. This image was taken on the same night as the following images: Click here for my other images of Melbourne
Foot path under the Princess Bridge, CBD, Melbourne.
Flinders Street, Melbourne BEST VIEWED LARGE
Went on a little stroll around the city today to shoot a couple of laneways with Flamegirl for Laneway Magazine who requested some shots of this little spot. This is the same lane as shot in my Hosier Lane but up the other end facing the other way :D I’ve been using HDR sparingly lately but it helps to bring out so much character in these laneways that I simply can’t resist. This is also one of my first goes experimenting with the square format too! / Settings Canon 5D, 17-40mm f4 L USM. FL: 17 mm 1/160th of a second @ f4 (Multiple Exposures), ISO 800 No Filters Adobe Lightroom 2, HDR in Photomatix Pro & Stitched together in Adobe Photoshop CS4 Click here for my other images of laneways and graffiti Click here for my other images of Melbourne
This alleyway is located directly opposite where I have been picking up either one or both of my children from school for the past 8 years…. It has the feel of a very familiar and friendly place. The ‘locals’ who ask for a dollar or two for their next hit reasonably regularly quite understand if some of the time I can’t help them out…. / Every now and then I’d mention to my son that it would be really good to get a photo of this alley, and he’d keep on telling me – ‘But Muum – you should have your camera with you ALL THE TIME’. He’s right. Sony Alpha 350, Tokina 19-35mm Lens, Focal Length 24mm @ f4.0, 1/50 Sec Exp, ISO 400. Taken in July (mid-winter) just as the evening light was fading at a great rate, and it was just beginning to rain a little… O – and I just have to add again, that this image looks LOTS better LARGE… :)))
