People are hectic and busy buying presents, some are relaxed and enjoy a cup of mulled wine. altogether it’s a special time of the year, with the streets being decorated and the mountains full of snow. city center Innsbruck, with the Nordkette mountains in the back..

One of the most historic cafes in Zürich, since it first opened its doors in 1912 the Odeon has been patronized by such figures as Lenin and Trotsky, Mata Hari, Thornton Wilder, Mussolini, James Joyce and various other colorful types. Decorated in the art nouveau style and located on the open Limmatquai plaza in Old Town, it is one of the most central spots in the city, and all day long-until well after midnight-people pop in for a quick coffee or a drink or a bite of lunch, and then linger to watch the crowds walk by. Always busy, the magnificient Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II by night, the shopping mall in a wonderful complex from late 19th century. On the other side of the Piazza del Duomo (square) there was a huge screen illuminating the beautiful gate with different colours.
