A cafe along the Willamette, downtown Portland, USA
Hoboken, NJ – Sept 2007
One of the most historic cafes in Zürich, since it first opened its doors in 1912 the Odeon has been patronized by such figures as Lenin and Trotsky, Mata Hari, Thornton Wilder, Mussolini, James Joyce and various other colorful types. Decorated in the art nouveau style and located on the open Limmatquai plaza in Old Town, it is one of the most central spots in the city, and all day long-until well after midnight-people pop in for a quick coffee or a drink or a bite of lunch, and then linger to watch the crowds walk by. it’s this time of the year again, Christmas is around. People are hectic and busy buying presents, some are relaxed and enjoy a cup of mulled wine. altogether it’s a special time of the year, with the streets being decorated and the mountains full of snow. city center Innsbruck, with the Nordkette mountains in the back..
Converging arcade and pavement underneath, a different view of a sunny day with people enjoying the weekend.
...everyday life at Dhobi Ghat: the hot, grey, caustic world of concrete washing pens and flogging stones that forms the huge open-air laundry at Saat Rasta, in Mumbai, (Bombay) India
Always busy, the magnificient Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, the shopping mall in a wonderful complex from late 19th century (Piazza del Duomo square).
Wandering through the CBD of Brisbane I loved the colours of the old heritage buildings reflected in the modern ones, giving a depth of colour that is missing entirely.

It’s always a part of citylife to see shoes hanging on powerlines. / It took me 3 weeks to finally decide to shoot this.i originally took this shot to see if my white balance was properly calibrated, don’t know why i took this one out of all the other objects around me. / but i really like it. i hope you do too. i just wish the shoes were a lot more colorful than they really are.
