  • P/S Retouched by Ange in collaboration with Ingrid Sjodahl. Digital photograph shot by Greg Parsons in collaboration with Ingrid Sjodahl (2007). Raffles KvB ex-student of mine Ingrid graduated last year winning the Australian Institute of Professional Photographers, NSW Portfolio of the Year Award 2007…needless to say damn proud of her. Model: Liz. I retouched face, hair & recreated arched eyebrows for further definition; left eye was ‘opened’ up to match right eye (in the original shot she appears half asleep). Ingrid added b/w desaturated tone, painted lips, bodice lace & sheet in red tone. Original before shot image below.

  • Lost
    by Helen McLean

    US$4.32–US$115.14

Here’s my famous red vinyl chair and red phone! These have been used in quite a few photo shoots now – although, this is the first photo where the two items get in the limelight. This laneway is located near Hosier Lane in Melbourne, adorned with graffiti and stencil art. Getting the phone to the laneway from the carpark at Fed Square was easy. Getting the chair, wasn’t!

  • J.Y
    by Ange

P/S Retouched by Ange. Digital photograph shot by Jerry Kang in Surry Hills, Sydney (2007). Model: J.Y. I retouched the eyes (creating deepset cat eyed effect), enhanced lips, defined eyebrows, enhanced cheekbones, airbrushed face & lengthened body. Extended foreground of shot by retouching (the existing foreground) as it was taken tightly cropped to the foot. Added b/w desaturated tone & curve adjustment. Original before shot image below.

  • The Blue City II
    by Damienne Bingham

    US$3.42–US$91.20

Chefchaouen is a city in northwest Morocco. It is the chief town of the province of the same name. Chefchaouen is situated in the Rif Mountains, just inland from Tangier and Tetouan. The city was founded in 1471, as a small fortress which still exists to this day, by Moorish exiles from Spain to fight the Portuguese invasions of northern Morocco. It was known as one of the main concentrations of Moriscos and Jews who sought refuge in this mountainous city after the Spanish Reconquista in medieval times. In 1920, the Spanish seized Chefchaouen to form part of Spanish Morocco. They returned the city after the independence of Morocco in 1956. The name ‘Chefchaouen’ refers to the shapes of the mountain tops that tower over the town, that look like the two horns (chaoua) of a goat. It literally means “look at the horns”. The blue-rinsed houses and buildings, are a tradition that comes from the town’s former Jewish population. An interpretation of the city view, depicting the onset of decay and police omnipresence—juxtaposed with the increase in decadence as the city inhabitants seek solace in pleasure. Blade Runner is one of my favourite movies of all time, and the book is another favourite, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? On a similar theme: Dangerous Days II Dangerous Days: and Nexus 6
