  • So I know there’s gotta be other people out there excited about the release of the new Batman Movie The Dark Knight, or is it just me? This is a tribute to possibly one of my favourite movies! This is also one of my first really serious attempts at creating some digital artwork in Photoshop. This is the result of me having a lot of time, sitting at home sick when I should be at work. The question is can you see Batman?? For this I started off with one of my pics of Melbourne, Australia from Southbank which was a HDR from 3 exposures. I then added in bats, flood lights, batman, the moon etc. and then once again a lot of tinkering in Lightroom to finetune :) This image has had over 5000 views Sales 1 Mounted Print 1 Poster Click here for my other images of Melbourne

  • My entry for the London Calling challenge. I found this difficult as I’ve never been to London to get a real ‘feel’ for the place, but here’s my two-cents worth: I have given a big nod towards graffiti/street art with the general style of the piece (line work, spray marks and drips) the London skyline gets a look in I couldn’t resist the CCTV camera robot (paranoid android?) with London having over 100 000 cameras throughout the city and finally I’ve included a large rain cloud in reference to the grey, overcast and generally miserable weather. I can’t decide on a colour – according to the challenge we should have one colour option for the shirt – so feel free to let me know what colour you think works best :) Detail: /

  • best viewed using the VIEW LARGER function / Canon EOS 400D (528 views 10-11-2009) / I am re-submitting this after getting a bubble mail from my good friend Vikram who suggested a tighter crop… I gave it a go and bam, it made a huge difference! • BEST VIEWED LARGER Storms and cloud so gtoes the mood of the cityas the first light of day greets the Big Sydney This is the result, sunset light mixing with the eerie light of the appraoching storm. The biggest challenge was holding the camera still in the 30-40 knott winds. The vantage point was from the tenth floor of a building and the light was MAGIC ! Equipment : Nikon D300, Handheld, Nikon 18-200mm lens / Technique: 5 bracketted images processed in Photomatix with a slight tidy in Capture NX
