I was coming home yesterday from an appointment downtown, / and happened to look over and see this place. It was completely / abandoned, along with garages, a barn and cars. Didn’t go in, (yet..heh) but I got a few good shots from the front. I added the flood..(to go with the title.) / / CS3/Corel/handheld/Samsung/HDR / I can’t even begin to list all of the things I did to this. / One filter conversion to the next applying and painting certain areas with the saturation brush, then repeating the process + / overlays & more fine tuning! Thanks for checking it out. :) / / / Special thanks to Kevin Kroeker for being a major inspiration with HDR. You can check out some of his truly amazing HDR work here: click me!

Here it is at last! Dreams 3 continues on from Dreams 2 with a dark and moody nightscape, this time over a higgeldy piggeldy city I photomontaged together. Lots and lots of textures and exquisite detail to keep your peeps entertained for hours. The flying ship is smaller now and riding the wave of a decorative swirl. I also revealed more of the blue-green skyline to decrease the darkness a little. Hope you like!

As you can see from the concept sketch, I made quite a few changes for the final redition of “City”. There may yet be another story hiding in this sketch…originally entitled, “Wasted” :) It was late when the gates of the old city appeared. I kept “Frog 1” on auto pilot, just to note the changes and to enjoy the reflected purple haze through the newer sections and over the old walls. The giant air bladder at the base of the ancient entrance was partially illuminated. It was two decades since they had been installed, ringing the city with life-giving bubbles. With plants having long disappeared from this world, their function was crucial. The only greenery now was from a type of red and green algae which grew along the cold rock faces. It was sad to be reminded of the past, but it was good to be home once more…

I felt like uploading a picture of my hometown… I live in Sydney and do miss it a lot sometimes. I try to go back every 6 months (going there tomorrow actually yay!). Changed the name of it after Jason Moses’ comment :)

I just love the low sun in Parisian winters. The shadows stretch and the light is magical. / This is rue Mouffetard, probably one of the most village-like streets of Paris.
