Torn between two loves: City and Nature... / / It would be such a pity to leave without a comment. Like it? Say so. Don’t like it? Say so too! With a bang, if that fits your style. I’d rather leave a negative impression (on someone) than nothing at all. So, please, leave a note and make my day a beautiful one! Thank you from the heart my friend. / / . / Please view also my other work.. / / Thank you for visiting. BEST VIEWED LARGER Caught this at the Sydney Group Meet – Eerie Is’nt it ? The doors of the St Michael the Archangel Chapel (commenced in 1886) . Rookwood Necropolis, at 283 hectares (700 acres), is one of the largest burial grounds in the world and one of Australia’s oldest cemeteries. It has been in continual use since it was established in 1868 and over 800,000 people have been interred within the grounds. The headstones and monuments reflect the history of the colony Of New South Wales and the development of the city of Sydney. The heritage values of the cemetery are protected by an act of Parliament. / / The original 81 hectare (200 acre) heritage area, located in the north western corner of the Necropolis, is subject to a Permanent Conservation Order and represents the largest and one of the finest surviving examples of a Victorian public cemetery anywhere in the world. Rookwood was originally designed in the grand gardenesque style, fashionable in the mid to late 19th Century. The brick gutters which defined the ornate landscaping can still be seen, together with the highly decorative monuments and other features including the chapel of St Michael the Archangel and the Serpentine Canal with its elegant ponds, bridges and urns. These were set in formal gardens with rest houses to cater for mourners and visitors This shot was the result of a Sydney group meetup on Saturday 14th June, the site definitely has a feel to it. Ive never seen so many black crows . The site definitely has an atmosphere with graves dating back to the early days of the colony.. In its day there was a rail service with a special funeral train that left from a purpose built station at Sydney’s Central Railway station. Unfortunately the special platforms at Rookwood being demolished, but the “Mortuary Station” still exists at Central Station. you can get an idea what these stations looked like at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regents_Street_railway_station,_Sydney

Its a storm which happens a several monthes ago in sevastopol (ukraine). This storm a ruined many litle cafes, and half of the embankment. It`s one of many waves, I`m choose it photo because the whimsical geometry of the wave was pleased to me.Well is certain, the essence of work the contrast of small defenseless people to the force of the element

Love can blow your mind and leave you seeing stars but its always your heart that takes the weight.

The dark colors in this shot kept reminding me of Gotham City and how it always seemed dark and colorless there. Taken in the exact same place as Hanging By a Moment, a bush right outside my front door.

Another experiment, just going outside of what I know and playing with some different ways of creating my works. Thanks for viewing.

I was walking around Omotesando and Harajuku to kill some time before meeting a friend the other night and found this patch of cosmos flowers. Planted out in the street, behind them were the lights of a shop and a vending machine was providing some light from my side. Just beautiful. Got mesmerised for a good fifteen minutes by these flowers. Nikon D300 / 85mm f/1.4 AF D

FULL VIEW PLEASE * / An early morning shot of the City of Perth. Was disappointed yesterday I was unable to get any photos of the sunset in Perth, as it was quite amazing . / So I decided to get up at 4am this morning and take some photos. I was glad I did, as the sunrise was just about as good as the sunset last night. This shot was of the city of Perth in Western Australia taken from Kings Park at roughly 4:30 am . Its 6 photos stitched together in PhotoShop. This is my second attempt at a panorama photo, turned out a lot better then my first attempt . If any one knows of a better program for making panoramas could you please let me know, as PhotoShop isn’t the best for stitching the images together. I wanted to catch the city light and sunset at together with this shot and was happy with the result. I have also a night shot of just the lights which I will upload later on.
