  • A view of the West End, Vancouver BC Canada

  • A rare view of St. John’s Newfoundland from the South Side HIlls. It was an extremely difficult and dangerous hike, but the one of a kind view was worth it. ..................................... / Click here to add me to your watch list. / .....................................

  • Okay this piece was inspired by UmbraDeNoatpe-stock at http://umbradenoapte-stock.deviantart.com/art/Stock-23-83970696 . Its a brilliant puddle that jumped out at me as soon as I saw it. I closed my eyes and took this mental picture you see now… I just had to get it into photoshop and turn it into a dream. The title says it all. It took me around 4 days to finish it but I think the florals, colours, light and dark, and finally magic really give that digital fantasy feel all within a puddle. Background Information: / Jasper is a specialized municipality in western Alberta, Canada. It is the commercial center of Jasper National Park, located in the Canadian Rockies in the Athabasca River valley. Jasper is 362 kilometres (225 mi), or approximately 3 1/2 hours west of Edmonton. Jasper is 290 kilometres (180 mi) north of Banff, Alberta, with the Icefields Parkway connecting the Jasper townsite to Lake Louise in Banff National Park. It was established as a specialized municipality on July 20, 2001 and the governance of Jasper is shared between the Municipality of Jasper and Parks Canada Agency. Jasper House was first a Northwest Company, and later Hudson’s Bay Company, fur trade outpost on the York Factory Express trade route to Fort Vancouver on the lower Columbia River. Jasper National Park was established in 1907, with the Canadian Northern Railway beginning service to Jasper in 1912. The Jasper townsite was surveyed in 1913 by H. Matheson. By 1931, Jasper was accessible by road from Edmonton, and in 1940 the scenic Icefields Parkway opened, connecting Banff and Jasper. source: wikipedia Train / Mooring Post / Sunset in Tofino /

  • Combination one room school house, church, community building, and town hall. These structures are scattered through out the Ozark Mountains, and the foothills of Arkansas. Sooooooo…... These types of scenes are very familiar to me, living here in the good ol’ natural state. My very first years of school began in a one room school house almost identical to this one, and it is now long gone.. When I look at this photograph, I can still see us all running, and playing in the school yard, and hear all of our laughter, and screaming. All the sounds of the children playing, as we went along in our merry, carefree younger days. I remember…........

  • Oil on canvas. ± 8” x 12”. December 2008. Another painting showing the view of Cape Town and Table Mountain (Western Province, South Africa) as seen from Bloubergstrand. I love trying to capture the forces of nature in paint on canvas but believe that only a camera can truly capture the beauty of this amazing and magical place. / Table Mountain has many moods and this view changes all the time, pure magic.. Worked on and off on this for the past few months and again did not use any reference for this. I used to love sitting on the beach and sketching the mountain a few years ago. These days I spend many hours in traffic but at least enjoy this amazing view while I am crawling to work.

  • Divine Prayer was featured in the Amazing Graves group on January 29, 2009. An infrared image taken at historic Myrtle Hill Cemetery, which overlooks downtown Rome, Georgia. The early citizens of Rome chose hills for cemeteries because of the flooding of Rome’s three rivers. Opened in 1857, this hillside cemetery covers 25 acres built on 5 terraces and is individually listed on the National Register of Historic Places. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Please don’t copy or download this image. • It was spring break and the zoo was filled with grandparents with their grandchildren. I don’t know who enjoyed the day more, my grandson Sebastian or me. We laughed with the chimps; we sang with the birds; we stopped in wonder and amazement to watch the mountain lion pacing in his enclosure, just inches away from us with only a glass wall to separate us. It was a glorious day filled with hot dogs, cotton candy, and the wonders of spring. Truly, our grandchildren make us young again! I’m blessed!

  • This little painting is the result of an oil sketch I did when I was in Katoomba recently. I love how when you drive or walk around Katoomba (or the other villages of the upper mountains) you often turn a corner or crest a hill and you find yourself confronted by the most spectacular view. There are a few spots which I really love. Whenever I was on my way to work (or whatever), these glimpses would energise me for the day ahead… reminding me of where we were… in a City within a World Heritage National Park. The way that civilisation exists along a narrow plateau which gives way to mountains and valleys also fascinates me. I often feel that Mother Nature is being incredibly generous in allowing our towns to flourish here… although she does remind us who’s boss occasionally…! This is the view across South Katoomba from the Mountain Heritage Carpark at the top of Lovel St Katoomba. Oil on Canvas / 40.5×30.5

  • My new found love in photography is mixing layers and layers of images. I have already had some wonderful finds of layered work in reflections but this kind of editing brings it to a whole other level. Finding what works well with another image is a challenge. But one that I enjoy very much. I have learned the in’s and out’s of working with layers by trial and error. If you’re thinking of giving this a try, I hope you will give your self time and not worry about the failures. The result is so worth the frustration of figuring it all out!! / / WOW, THANK YOU FOR THE HOME PAGE FEATURE!!! /
