Just a quick reminder: RedBubble calendars are printed on an HP Indigo 5000 (for those who haven’t heard, this is the digital press). Each page is a matte coated print on 170gsm pages. The cover shows your choice of image on heavier 300gsm paper. Your calendars have a hanger and white wire binding. RedBubble calendars are satin-coated prints on high quality art paper. They’re A3 size (that’s 297×420mm, or 11.69×16.54”) Order now for the holidays!

  • Asmara is Africa’s best kept architectural secret. Under Italian control prior to WWII, Mussolini sent his young, experimental architects to the horn of Africa. The result in Asmara is an amazing collection of fabulous Art Deco and Modernist buildings.

  • Photos from my “One Day in Toronto” project, to capture the soul of the city.

  • I lived in the UK for over twelve years and spent most of that time in London. I dwelled there during the change of millennium witnessing the great celebration that took place in the form of a revolutionary, state of the art architecture. I have seen the transformation of an old power station into the awesome Tate Modern, the erection of the Millennium Wheel, the building of the Millennium Bridge and the controversial Millennium Dome, the Hungerford Railway & Pedestrian Bridge, the London Gherkin – the new Sir Norman Foster Swiss Bank Building-, other buildings and monuments. It’s in London that I took up photography following a course based in the States and it’s London that inspired me to become an artist photographer. The magic atmosphere of its huge parks, the imposing buildings, either historical or modern, the contrast between building styles, sometimes placed next to each other, the eccentric markets, i.e. Camden Lock and Stables, Portobello, Brick Lane etc., the street performers in Covent Garden, the classic black cabs and red double decker busses (almost extinct now), the theaters and the many other things – impossible to mention all – , provided me with enough inspirational material to make me feel I could spend all my life producing work based on this city alone! / More images may be viewed on my site: www.aldocervato.com . Medium: Black and White film mostly Kodak Tri-x, 35mm and 120 medium format.
