London, UK I usually walk along the south bank riverside in London.. and l passed by this place maybe a thousand times ! A street photography shot taken in East London 2007. I went back there recently and this image has been completely painted over. I’m glad I was able to capture what was a brief yet beautiful scene that has now gone forever

This stencil was created in early 2008 inspired by fashion photography and damp cold London. Recently cut stencil with one layer from an older stencil of a zebra in pink on her dress, with hand drawn cobbled stones. The canvas itself is 3 times in length this is just a mere snap shot of the original piece. This piece is 1 of 3, utilising the same same stencil and composition of works I’ve posted on Red Bubble at the moment. The other is ‘snow and umbrella’ and ‘rain birds’

The spiral staircase in City Hall, home of the Mayor of London, by the River Thames, London. Access was granted due to a number of private buildings being opened to the public over the weekend as part of London Open House, so I took full advantage and managed to take some shots without being frisked by an enormous security guard! My entry for the London Calling challenge. I found this difficult as I’ve never been to London to get a real ‘feel’ for the place, but here’s my two-cents worth: I have given a big nod towards graffiti/street art with the general style of the piece (line work, spray marks and drips) the London skyline gets a look in I couldn’t resist the CCTV camera robot (paranoid android?) with London having over 100 000 cameras throughout the city and finally I’ve included a large rain cloud in reference to the grey, overcast and generally miserable weather. I can’t decide on a colour – according to the challenge we should have one colour option for the shirt – so feel free to let me know what colour you think works best :) Detail: /

Another quick capture tonight, from work to the tube, just as the night was falling around 5:30pm. These are the lights on the South Bank of the river Thames, close to Waterloo bridge. To me, the varying size of the lights on the picture and the slight curve of the layout, like just like a string of pearls. this is a combination manip/painting / I’ve been working on this for a couple of weeks – a little each night. I tried to add a lot more depth and light from the wet street. More shadows too….I wanted it to be modern – yet at the same time, have a long ago feeling. Does that make sense? / I didn’t want it completely straight either – meaning I wanted a tad of the impressionistic style. I got tired at the end – and my brush strokes got a bit sloppy at the top…but I went back and tried to make it better. I made this for a fried of mine who loves England…. / (a birthday present).
