Leonard Zakim bridge in Boston at sunset
I was walking around the town in Christchurch just before dusk under a grey and threatening sky when the sun came out. The Port Hills were lit up spectacularly. I happened to have my camera with me and took this as I walked down the street. I like the contrast of peak hour traffic, the last light on the hills and the threatening sky.

I love this city… /
Watching the sunset and the view of the Bay Bridge and San Francisco
Squeezing everything out of the weekend before a big week ahead. There is calm before a storm.
This shot was taken last December at the switching on of the towns Christmas lights. The whole town had a very special ceremony, and since I have connections with the church, I got special permission to climb up to the top of the church tower (the fifth tallest parish church spire in England). I got some fantastic shots up there. This is one of them. I also got some of the fireworks later on. Below gathers the town waiting for the parade of lights that marks the beginning of the towns Christmas celebrations. Canon EOS-1Ds Mark ll, 17-35mm wide angle zoom, f/2.8, shutter 1/4 / ISO 160

I love the city of Boston. This is a shot taken at the end of December from the other side of Boston Harbor, near the Hyatt Regency Harborside.
3 shots with my Lumix FZ18. raw -2, 0, +2. Photomatix Tone mapping. Taken from a quiet street by the frozen North Saskatchewan River on a mild February day.
Fingers frozen, definitely got a cold but it was worth waiting! Early November, from the top of Rockefeller Center’s terrace in New York City.
New York Midtown
can be quite dangerous, especially when traffic is approaching you from behind and you’ve got the iPod playing.
I want to capture the cozy feeling of the American suburbs that I fear will soon be passing. The street in Lexington, Kentucky is named for a battle, but it is a very serene and peaceful place.
The Merchandise Mart on the left, The 333 Wacker Drive building on the far right. The river opens up into a bay right in front and splits in two directions here.
Taken Feb 25/09 Paris, France / This is one view from the top observation deck on the Eiffel tower, the highest structure in the city. / According to Wikipedia: Including the 24 m (79 ft) antenna, the structure is 324 m (1,063 ft) high (since 2000), which is equivalent to about 81 levels in a conventional building.
The Bay Bridge and San Francisco right before sunset.
Last evening, i was crossing bourke street and saw it ! reflect, lights, sky…. stop and shot. No real work on it after, just crop in square format because i love it. / Make with my DSLR canon 5DII-24mm
I took a very similar panoramic shot a few months earlier but I only used a Gorilla grip tripod, big mistake the the last two frames were slightly blurred. I didn’t have enough time to retake the last two shots as the tide was coming in. So I went back for another try, this shot is the result. The tide was just going out so I knew I’d be o.k. this time. Maybe I’ll put the other one up someday. Canon 5D, 24-70mm at 24mm, f/11, 10 sec, ISO 320. No filters used. My tripod held steady, this time thank god. I have to learn how to reduce noise in low light conditions. Halifax, NS, has been around for over a quarter millennium. This Atlantic seashore community has many friendly people with a great sense of humor. The night life includes strolls along the waterfront and a vast assortment of interesting and sometimes quite historic pubs. This photograph of Hermosillo was taken during a storm from my car window. The window of blue sky on the upper left was an oval shaped portal surrounded by dark clouds. I didn’t have enough view from the car door to capture the entire scene, but I believe this small glimpse adequately presents the powerful movement of the elements. Olympus E-3, Zuiko 14-54 mm f/2.8-3.5, 0.6 Sec, f/2.9, ISO 200, 19 mm Copyright © Richard G.
