  • When I saw the dog approach I wondered what his reaction would be, bark at us or be cautious in his approach but he ended up being quite playful walking beside us for a little while until another dog came and they amused themselves rolling around in the sand… Taking photos of domesticated animals is not on my priority list but this particular one I’m very satisfied with for it’s look and color tone I managed to achieve. Another photo taken in the coastal fishing town of Arniston – South Africa Flickr Gallery http://www.flickr.com/photos/soulmyst/ P.S If you prefer to view this on imageKind do a search “soulmyst”

  • I was pleased to capture this man walking towards the docks with his bag and the houses of Kassies Bay in the background. How does your day start? Do you drive to work – is it long distance or do you walk like him? Fleeting moment in time but I hope you take the time to look long enough at the photo and start asking questions yourself as I often do. So many people on this planet, so many dreams, so many ambitions…what road will you take through life? • The elements may huff and they may puff but they won’t blow the house down…The clouds at the coast are spectacular in summer, I’m yet to see it in winter during the rainy season and I’m already thinking of devious plans to get back down there when the weather is at its worst for a few days… This was taken near Dana baai – South Africa Flickr Gallery http://www.flickr.com/photos/soulmyst/ P.S If you prefer to view this on imageKind do a search “soulmyst”

  • Which person are you? The one which stares and admires the ocean from a distance or the one that wishes you could be on or in it as much as you possibly can…(I watched Jaws 3 as a kid so it is not hard to guess my choice)...Lovely rocky beaches near Knysna to spend the day taking nothing but photographs; only regret being that I could not take photos on different days with different weather conditions… Garden Route, Western Cape Province – South Africa Flickr Gallery http://www.flickr.com/photos/soulmyst/ P.S If you prefer to view this on imageKind do a search “soulmyst”

  • Matted print without frame shown on the right – it is a modern sleek look without the added cost of custom framing and it looks great on any office or home wall. Also consider a loose glossy canvas as option to flat frame as you would with normal paper prints; the texture on a cotton canvas plus the fact that the larger the print (I have personally printed at sizes of up to 1.5 meter on satin semi gloss and glossy canvas) the more spectacular it looks and the texture compliments my art and the ethereal color tone extremely well, it also blends iso200 & iso400 noise so well that it has become a preference in some photos even if I could have used a much lower iso100 speed just for the added painterly effect the grain produces and ‘life’ of the fiber texture it gives prints printed this way – definitely an option I would recommend before considering any other cotton rag matte paper when a bigger size is preferred.
