  • Folk Devils and Moral Panics / This is artwork I have just completed for one-man-music-show Onemancabal / I just wanted to share this piece because I am so very proud of it, I put my heart and soul into this work – and I think when you listen to the music you’ll agree it suits. The idea for this piece was to create a long artwork that would be divided into the various parts of the CD packaging – so the far left is the cover, with the middle section on the inside front cover and the inlay, and the far right is the back of the CD. My intention was to have just a few characters coming onto the front and back of the case, to entice people to open it up and be blown away by the intricate illustration inside. Like a reward for buying the CD! We wanted to have innocent looking characters with a slightly sinister edge to them – reflecting the music (which has some beautiful folky, traditional sounds but isn’t all it seems). It was a great blend of my two distinctive styles and I am absolutely in love with it! / I’ll be posting details and credits on my website soon – and perhaps some snap shots of how it all came together…enjoy! P.S This is only a demo CD, so fingers crossed Onemancabal gets signed and we can all buy his beautiful music…

  • A circus is a traveling company of performers including acrobats, clowns, trained animals, hula hoopers… Common acts include a variety of acrobatics and gymnastics including tightrope walking, trapeze and floor routines, the combination of juggling and gymnastics is called equilibristics and include acts like plate spinning.Clowns are common to most circuses.Daredevil stunt acts and sideshow acts are parts of circus acts, including human cannonball, chapeaugraphy, fire eating, breathing and dancing, knife throwing, magic shows, sword swallowing or strongman. Juggling is a form of object manipulation. The most recognizable form of juggling is toss juggling, where the juggler throws objects through the air. Jugglers often refer to the objects they juggle as props, the most popular being balls, beanbags, rings, clubs, or bouncing balls. Some performers use dangerous objects such as chainsaws, knives and fire torches, although when done by a trained performer using the proper equipment are far less dangerous than they appear. Juggling also includes most prop-based circus skills such as diabolo, devil sticks, poi, cigar box manipulation, fire-dancing, contact juggling, and hat manipulation.

  • It was not the statue which took my eye, but the people hanging around. I had expected a spot in the centre of a street crossing with cars zipping all directions while Eros stood supreme, and aloof over all around. There waere no traffic lights, just a lazy air ti what to do.
