I went along to the Ace Café one evening to see what I could see. The venue has a wonderful history and is a fully refurbished café cum restaurant all kitted out in 50’s style. Car and bike enthusiasts of all types meet there regularly. /
Sold on June 2, 2009 as medium framed (black/flat) print on bright white matt. Pair with… / or… /
Completed in 2004, age 17 This is a slightly cropped version of the original, due to the limits of my camera. My original signature got cropped out so I had to insert a new one in photoshop; in the original it is not actually located there. Original size: (40” x 30”) The two subjects are posed in similar positions, each having a dark, circular central focus., Both images have lines above and surrounding the centres, which draw attention towards the centres. The vertical composition help strenghten the feeling of height given by the vertical lines. Both subjects are organic, however one, the eye, has straight lines and geometrical shapes, while the rose has curvy lines and organic shapes. In the eye, the centre is literally dark, while in the flower the darkness is created by shadows. I adore Sydney at night. This was me tripod-less one night at Circular Quay… I’m still tripod-less to this day. Long exposures kill me. Hehehe.
What a plethora of colour! I love how this shot turned out excited I adore the bokeh effect mixed with the clarity of the drop on the left. It’s like a magic rainbow wonderland! I hope you enjoy this piece as much as I do! © SilverDew All comments are welcomed and appreciated. Full view is best! Random work on my RedBubble:

Journey to the centre of the Earth….. Sold as a framed print to RB member
He held the hose tightly and aimed it at the dirt surrounding the thorny bush. The water flooded into cracks of dried earth, between mounds of brown clay, past sandy patches and squeezed by weeds that were trying to sprout. The sun glistened on splatters and sprinkles and mist and he focused on the rainbow that fell over the rose bush, past the deep, dark green leaves and spilled onto the water faucet where the hose attachment had not been tightened all the way and spray spewed across the lawn. One rose at the top of the bush shuttered and twisted off of its stem. It flew across the porch, drifted momentarily over a glass of iced tea, surged back into the sun and exploded in rays of red. / He squeezed the trigger handle of the hose and shut off the water. Then he ran to the faucet and turned off the flow. Glancing back to the center of the yard he saw the exploded rose rising in a tower of pink and red and orange petals and whirl upward. Then it was gone. / He didn’t slam the screen door when he went back inside. He didn’t want anyone to see him. Though he wasn’t quite sure why, and he knew he had done nothing intentional, he felt a crazy guilt about what had just happened. He sat down at the kitchen table where the rest of the family was chatting, snacking, talking on phones, and ignoring him. Yet somehow he had a feeling of panic that they may have been looking out of the window and witnessed what happened. Yet, what had really happened? Nothing. Just watering the lawn. Innocent as can be. Then why did he feel so guilty? acrylic paint on plywood 24”x24”

Lake Falls in Matthiessen State Park is possibly the most magical, spiritual waterfall I have ever photographed. It is special and always blesses me with a wonderful spiritual feel to it. It inspires me to be religous in some way that I cannot explain. / The whirlpool is like God. He has no beginning and no end.
