Stack of sugar cookies on a lace paper doily.
Portrait of a guy (Indian or Black American) underlying a bolted frame plate covered in a block print along with surrounding abstract shapes and textures, some flat, some in 3D. A white airbrushed cloud was added to this composition to bring more depth between the shapes also creating a frosty cold air feeling for this black and white image. 1-6-07
Acrylic On Canvas. / Size 90×120cm. / Inspiration… complicated, don’t ask.
Idle hands may be the devil’s playground but boredom usually produces some of my most interesting shots. We were in Orlando and my husband was attending a conference. I had already swam and soaked in the sun and when boredom finally plagued me i began to examine the room, the interesting furniture and accessories, look into the rest of the interior decoraters choice. I turned on the lamp and this was what i saw. The shadow perfect. /

was mucking around with photoshop and kinda liked how the little guy turned out :)
This took a while – extremely enjoyable and relaxing. In fact I may just do another in this theme. There is no background colour so by changing the colour of the tee it will give the frog a different look. Featured in Dimensions, Sept. 13, 2009. This is one of my first true attempts at abstract art. I wanted to stretch myself and I didn’t realize how much time and thought this would actually take! Abstract painting created using several photographic layers, added textures, Photoshop, Painter X and a Wacom tablet. / Detail Crop 1 / / Detail Crop 2 / / / / Abstract Art Gallery / ADD RENEE TO YOUR WATCHLIST

Another in my series of burnt out cars, shot on a hot humid Saturday afternoon. I find the colors quite fascinating … dozens of shots yet all so different. Shot with Nikon D90 with 60mm Nikon macro lens, 1/80s f/16 /
Cheerful, happy, geometric retro pattern greeting card. Great for any occasion.
Metatron’s Magick Wheel; a fractal flame created with Apophysis and embellished in Photoshop to add Metatron’s Cube in the center as to echo the surrounding shapes. / What can i say about this fractal print… I love it! / Within it I see a host of geometric shapes & ancient symbology. Play ‘connect the dots’ with this image and see circles, Metatron’s Cube, the Fruit of Life, 12 around 1, the Vesica Piscis, a quincunx, the Dharmacakra & Sri Chakra or Shri Yantra, the Star of David, a celtic cross, platonic solids & polyhedrons , a star tetrahedron or Merkaba, suns, eggs, and more- perhaps even a 4 leaf clover. It also reminds me of mandalas or the Bhavacakra, alchemy wheels, Zodiac or astrology wheels, the Tarot wheel of fortune, or a medicine wheel. Besides for the more esoteric or subtle possible interpretations, this abstract fractal flame art print aesthetically shows the wonderful recursive nature of fractal geometry; One image repeating itself into infinity, with each successive repeating generation of the image being slightly different, or angled & stretched in varied ways. I created this fractal work with Apophysis 2.08 and a script. I played with the triangles and variations as long as I had the wanted result. To create the mathematical shapes I used the tools of Photoshop. Designer: Thea Walstra / /
