  • I haven’t created a new fractal in a while, so I thought it was time. For some reason, I just can’t break myself away from the whole sphere thing. Even my paintings when I was younger all had some sort of sphere. Someone once told me it was my secret signature, who knows? Don’t ya just love the title though? The tones of this piece reminded me of coffee with lots of cream, maybe a rounded sugar cube, hense the Expresso reference. And the rest, well hey, it’s an abstract, I can name it any ridiculous name I want! LOL (ok, so I’m watching Ghost Hunters, so apparition just stuck in my head :P ) Created in Apophysis 3d Hack This piece was featured in the Abstract Art group and the Fractal Frenzy group. • Acrylic painting and Apophysis overlays and so stand in another atmosphere, / where an undiscovered star we will never live to see / casts shadows on a grove of succulents we cannot yet imagine. / There our interchangeable features still vibrate and blur, / each smile one half of the circle, / each utterance spiralling like light / upward in shudders along the spine / as if the moon and you and I were slivers / of one mirror, gazing on herself at last From A Ceremony / Robin Morgan

  • Time! – what a subject! what is time really / when is the right time / time used wisely or squandered / rich moments or emptiness so much we “measure” in time … yet, time is such a subjective thing … We can hear the ominous boom of the clock up in the tower … / or the light and bright little ticktock of a smiley faced clock on the mantle ... so what is time really? ohhhhh what a delight! Time’s illusion was featured in ImageWriting 03.05.2009 … an honour and delight – thank you so much! Featured in Friends of Bangor and North Down Camera Club 01.06.2009 – thank you kindly! • What can I say? It masquerades as other things, like self-assessment and humility; and it looks pretty with it’s bright fizzy colors and seemingly earnest energy. But it’s mean-spirited and lethal to creativity. And it’s ALWAYS out there, waiting to pounce. I had a tussle with self-doubt today, and got a good look at it!!
