Third installment of the “Anima Biomeccanica” series, this time quite a bit more complex due to the difficulties imposed by the magic circle and all the surrounding fluff. Plus the high resolution murdered my CPU several times, especially at the moment of rendering all the effects. As usual, this was done in 3dsMAX 9.0 and corrected in Photoshop to remove a bit of the CGI look (though I don’t think I fully succeed). This time our little red-eyed flying thing is casting a magic circle of words in the deep space. This circle also gives a ‘plane’ of action to the creature, considering in space there are no directions, this creature could be indeed facing the ‘ceiling’ of the universe or the bottom, who knows, just get confused. He’s standing but he isn’t. :D Ah, I love to add chaos even in the words. Hope you like it!
Since greeting cards are officially available on RB, I decided to let one of my favorite babes join the big pool as well. This piece was created based on the idea of fractal, though I didn’t use any fractal softwares to make it. I will write more details on this later on. By the way, if you want a print of mighty big scale (36”x36” to be exact), it’s availabe on my shop.

I think this is a Blue Morpho Butterfly which belongs to the family of Owls; I photographed it at the Insectarium on Canal Street in New Orleans, Louisiana, where butterflies flutter happily in a controlled environment, light on people’s shoulders (and on my toes), and bring smiles to every face. The only downside was the high heat and humidity. It kept the butterflies happy, but my eyeglasses and camera lenses kept fogging up! Still, it was worth the joy of the experience.
A fractal generated in Tierazon and modified in PI. This image is textured, which is not immediately obvious from the thumbnail.
Abstract picture, high resolution render.
this was the abstract before I turned it into happy green monster… / maybe you like to see how I came up before the face 2 face? / /
