The Old General Hospital… / / It was built in 1897 and was home to Newfoundlands first operating room. The hospital has been closed and condemed for many many years now. Rumor has it that many dark and hideous things were done behind its doors, things that are better left forgotten… Only memories are left now that can haunt its dark and terrifying hallways. / / Cinderellas wicked step sisters would be in their glory having her scrub these floors. / / Canon Rebel / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography. / / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- / More in my “Darkerside of Life Series”... / / / / / /
This was taken at Walt Disney World (Nov.2007).
Featured in Before and After – Nov 20th, 2009 / Featured in Castle Magic in 2008 This is Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom, Orlando, Florida. It took some photoshop work to transform the castle from my original shot to this dreamy creation. Hope you like it. Before:
My Niece, such a lovely young lady, hard at work cleaning the pots and pans for Christmas Dinner. / Negative of original shot. Hope you like the effect. / Thanks for looking in.
Another in the fairytale series. A different photographic approach this time, which I plan to try out again with my next shot based on the Rupunsel tale. My dear friend Hilda was an excellent model, she posed so well I have many great shots from that day. But I have chosen this one for the series because I love the look on her face, kinda of guilty and not pleased at being sprung making soup out of those pumpkins she’s supposed to use to turn into coaches for young lasses to attend balls in. /
every cinderella…needs a tinkerbella
View of Neuschwanstein Castle, Germany It was a long way up on the opposite cliff, to get this view :)
Cinderella, she seems so easy / “It takes one to know one,” she smiles / And puts her hands in her back pockets / Bette Davis style / And in comes Romeo, he’s moaning / “You Belong to Me I Believe” / And someone says,” You’re in the wrong place, my friend / You better leave” / And the only sound that’s left / After the ambulances go / Is Cinderella sweeping up / On Desolation Row / / -extract from Desolation Row, Bob Dylan / / / / Another attempt at street photography / New York City
Hope despite calamity
My work was the WINNER of the Faerie World groups competition , “The Brothers Grimm”. Thanks to everyone who took the time to vote for me and those that support my work! Excerpt from Grimm Brother’s, Cinderella Story “Now that no one else was at home, Cinderella went to her mother’s grave beneath the hazel tree, and cried out: Shake and quiver, little tree, / Throw gold and silver down to me. / Then the bird threw a gold and silver dress down to her, and slippers embroidered with silk and silver. She quickly put on the dress and went to the festival….read more This is my artistic depiction of the Grimm Brother’s Cinderella. I used artistic license to add the fairies to the tree, the flowers and her dress. I even created a special fairy showering Cinderella with magic creating her dress, her crown, the carriage and horses. I photographed a regular shoe, then created a mask, filling iin with glass texture in Photoshop. The background was created using the render option under filters. By shining several spotlights on a blue background, one can simulate the appearance of a mettalic-like shiny surface.

Please see the website www.ihatecinderella.com to reserve a copy. Due for release in December Forget the fairytale. Make your own! Who hasn’t had their heart broken? / Who hasn’t cried for days and been unable to eat, sleep or concentrate? / Who can honestly say they haven’t asked their best friend: “When will this pain stop? / When will I get over him?” This book is for those girls, for all of us. / Those girls who let some guy into their heads and hearts, putting aside their own plans and ambitions, to later feel there is nothing left inside their heart anyway. Lucy Summers is one of those girls. Three weeks after her heart has been broken, she travels for work, when the plane crashes halfway. She falls deep into the ocean where she is saved, as only a loving mother, a patient best friend and a healthy dose of chocolate could do, by a mermaid named Obelia. Together they reignite Lucy’s passion for drawing and re-establish her sense of her self-worth. / Lucy learns that you have to know what you want to be able to get it! This book will give you the tools to heal your heart, your head / and your sense of self. ‘A stunning debut novel that takes you far from here.’ ‘A wonderful book for a broken heart.’ ‘I hate Cinderella is inspiring, evocative and delightful.’

Created with free stock and resources from deviantart.com,and stockxchange then layered in photoshop CS3. A Cinderella Story: How Fairy Tales Evolve Fairy tales evolve over time as they are told from generation to generation. Whether they are passed on by word of mouth or through print. Some have great variations, some are the same save a few mini details. No matter what the differences, they all have one thing at common in the heart. The moral. With Cinderella, one learns that despite being unappreciated and condemned to serving others, as long as you are kind natured and a truly good person, your dreams will come true. / Cinderella is one of the most well known and popular fairy tales. Why this is, is a little unclear. Perhaps it is because her story is so straight forward and simple. As with the moral her tale presents; Good things come to good people. Cinderella is forced to become a virtual servant in her own home. She is forced to “scoured the dishes, tables, etc. And scrubbed madam’s chamber, and those of the misses daughters”. Yet she doesn’t complain and does the work diligently. In the end, her loving qualities win over the heart of the Prince and her beauty shines through not only from the outside, but her inner beauty as well. /
