Done for a story on cigarette warning labels getting more “graphic.”

This is a keyed portrait image with digital backdrop added. Desaturated with contrast bumped up in subject layer, film grain added. Selective color applied to lips with opacity adjusted. Lit with key, side/fill and hair light against a green screen. Frame added to provide more “vintage” feel.

Another of my favourites from my first pastel series, “Watching.” / Yes, both of the mouths belong to David Bowie – boy, i must have been pretty obssessed with him at that time…the title is another giveaway. : ) Do let me kow if you might be interested in prints of this, as I might be able to persuade the owner to let me rephotograph it when i get a better camera.

Watercolor painting, 12×14 on 300 lb. Arches cold press paper. This is my mom and dad’s neighbor. This is how I always see her when I go to their house – Mary sitting on the back porch, cigarette in hand and reading glasses perched on her head. She’s been a great neighbor and friend to my parents.

This work is dedicated to one of my favorite directors Jim Jarmusch. Shots are taken on 24-Oct-2009 beside mountain hut Hrasnicki Stan (mountain Igman – B&H). This worker made short coffee break. Like all passionate smokers he never drink coffee without cigarettes. He didn’t pay attention on me and other mountain climbers at all.
