The bells of the abandoned church at Old Parithia, Corfu ring out for no living mortal. Just hope you don’t hear them if you should ever pass by on a dark night!

Taken in the main plaza in Mexico City, Mexico. Shot of a native Indian dressed in traditional garb for a performance. As I walked by he was standing on a bleacher in the center of the square in front of the cathedral. / Canon 20D.
St Nicholas Church / . / Location – Liverpool / . / Date – 11.12.07 / . / Time – 1:17 (approx) / . / Seagull Name – Unknown / . / . / . / A Brief History / . / St Nicholas is the Patron Saint of sailors and is regarded as the guardian of seamen proceeding on their voyages. Consequently the Parish Church of Liverpool is often known as the Sailors Church. / . / St Nicholas has been rebuilt several times since its foundation in medieval times. In the corner of the churchyard stood a coffee house in which shackles were fixed for the slave trader auctions during the eighteenth century. / . / The Garden / . / Until 1767 when a dock was built where the Liver Buildings now stand, at high tide, the River Mersey reached the wall which encloses the garden. / . / 1849 saw the last burials. The Churchyard became a public garden in memory of James Harrison whose shipping company still has its offices facing the garden. / . / On 17 May 1892 a Deed of Faculty was granted for the laying out of the graveyard as an ‘Ornamental Ground’ by forming walks and making beds of shrubs or plants surrounded with turf. It was clearly indicated that the alterations should in no way interfere with the primary use of the Church as a place of worship.

This is the Lychgate at St Gregorys Church, Dawlish, Devon.
I’m not a religious man, but there is no denying the effect that a building of this magnitude can have on you… Given the right place, the right time and the right company, silence can speak volumes… Exactly One year ago today I was just about to start out on one of the most wonderful weeks. This picture was taken at Bath Abbey during that week and it was an experience I’ll never forget. The Abbey Church of Saint Peter, Bath, commonly known as Bath Abbey, is an Anglican parish church and a former Benedictine monastery in Bath, Somerset, England. Founded in the 7th century, reorganised in the 10th century and rebuilt in the 12th and 16th centuries, it is one of the largest examples of Perpendicular Gothic architecture in the West Country of England.
The shot has been taken in a small Hungarian countryside Cathilic church right after christening.
I really liked this image…I’m not a religious man but today there was twice where i was drawn to a shot… This was one of them..
This is an 18th-century Spanish church. Only one church tower was completed and this seems to be a mystery to all. This mission is an active Roman Catholic church. For the past few years the church has been undergoing restoration. P a u s e F i s h e s / A series about nothing at all. Especially NOT about politics, religion or other important matters. If you should feel offended in any way, rest assured that no ill will was intended by this work. And any assembly with politics, religion and/or other important matters, are just accidental. Anyway, if you still feel insulted, you can write a letter of complain to me and i send it to the appropriate office for complaints. This is a composite of four images blended togheter in CS. Inspired by Alanis Morrissette Baba Lyrics / I’ve seen them kneel / with faded breath for the ritual. / I’ve watched this experience raise / them to pseudo higher levels. / I’ve watched them leave their families / in pursuit of your nirvana. / I’ve seen them coming to line up / from Switzerland and America. How long will this take, Baba? / How long have we been sleeping? / Do you see me hanging onto every word you say? / How soon will I be holy? / How much will this cost, guru? / How much longer till you completely absolve me? I’ve seen them give their drugs up / in place of makeshift altars. / I’ve heard them chanting / Kali, Kali frantically. / I’ve heard them rotely repeat your / teachings with elitism. / I’ve seen them boasting robes and / foreign sandalwood beads. How long will this take, Baba? / How long have we been sleeping? / Do you see me hanging onto every word you say? / How soon will I be holy? / How much will this cost, guru? / How much longer till you completely absolve me? I’ve seen them overlooking god in / their own essence. / I’ve seen their upward glances / in hopes of instant salvation. / I’ve seen their righteousness / mixed without loving compassion. / I’ve watched you smile / as the students bow to kiss your feet How long will this take, Baba? / How long have we been sleeping? / Do you see me hanging onto every word you say? / How soon will I be holy? / How much will this cost, guru? / How much longer till you completely absolve me? Give me strength all knowing one. / How long till enlightenment? / How much longer till you completely absolve me? Thank you for stopping by :) / ...roy
