acrylic on canvas END OF DAYS Red sky in the morning, you’ve had your warning / the wolves are running, the end is coming See the white bird flying, he’s got a heart just like a lion / see the sun descending, on a world that fears an ending See the snake a creeping, as the children are a sleeping / there’s a tower in the middle, it’s built of death and lies and riddles Only love can set you free Sheep rushing to the fold, a remnant neither bought nor sold / a single shepherd on a rock, face all the nations for his flock see the light in motion, hits the earth just like an ocean / soon the sky unravels, stars fall down like so much gravel Look away from all your idols, this cursed earth is suicidal / lift your eyes up to the sky, see the heavens, see the heavens eye to eye only love can set you free

Preservation parc of St-Lauwrence river(Patrimoine) / I used to go with my mother at Point-au-Père along the St-Lawrence river just for evening and night before reaching Grand-Anse,New-Brunswich, the village where she grew up.I had long walks on those rocs when I was very young, when I saw the little church it all came back to me.I saw myself with my little sister Maryse and my brother Peter picking up rocs and shells and the sun was going down,I was 14 years old…souvenir …souvenir…..an untouched shot. / Better view larger. / /

Taken looking across the river at Inverness city centre. It was that moment seconds before the sun dipped below the clouds and I had to double park the car to capture it. This photo is 2 stitched together and I think I’ve been quite lucky in getting the 4 churches almost evenly spaced out. Slight work in photoimpact to add more detail to the sky. Rainbow an added bonus? Would look great with it’s sister shot shown below.
Daily I struggle with my faith, / has my God turned his back on me? / For I feel so all alone, / my eyes they do not see; The beauty that I used to cherish, / of the life in which I live, / I now dwell upon problems in life, / Which to the Lord I used to give. Now I dont know where to turn, / Im not sure what to do; / Am I all alone in life? / Lord I long for you! For I miss the daily walk, / that we used to share. / Please tell me you still love me Lord; / Please let me know your there.

Lovely church near the main street of Echuca. / / St Andrew’s Uniting Church was built as a Presbyterian church in 1901 by contractors Mc Bride and Nicholls to a design by Echuca architect and engineer, Arthur Edgar Castles. The church has architectural and historic significance to Victoria. The church is an extraordinary and strikingly picturesque example of an Edwardian Gothic Revival church. Its boldly expressed design comprises a number of distinctive elements, including the elevation of the nave above the Sunday school and the impressive flight of slate stairs leading to the nave, featuring curving cast element balustrades and cast iron lamps; the stepped buttresses; the machicolated and castellated parapet of the tower; the steep and ornamentally slated octagonal spire; and the glazed tilework. The church has a number of features demonstrating outstanding decoration and craftsmanship including the use of glazed tilework, the ornamental spire and tower and the corbel stepping of the gables. The building has an association with the Rev. J C Johnstone, minister at Echuca from 1871 to 1901, who was the main driving force behind its construction. Rev. Johnstone was greatly involved in the public life of Echuca, in particular with the formation of a number of benevolent and social societies and the establishment of the local hospital. He was also an important figure in church affairs, being moderator of the Bendigo and Maryborough Presbyteries and, in 1901, being elected moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Victoria. This is the church of St Winnow, which lies on the banks of the River Fowey, just below Lostwithiel in Cornwall, England. The church was featured in the 1977 BBC series of Poldark, which starred Anghard Rees and Robin Ellis, as Ross Poldark. This capture was shot in colour, but converted to B+W with an IR filter in CS3. I quite like the effect, and I hope you do too. / Thank you for looking. Best Viewed Large. Pentax K110D. / Pentax 18-55mm Lens.
The Metropolitan Cathedral of Saint Andrew (St Andrew’s Cathedral) is a Roman Catholic cathedral in the city centre of Glasgow, Scotland. It is the pro Cathedral of the Archdiocese of Glasgow and mother church of the Archdiocese of Glasgow and seat of the Archbishop of Glasgow. The cathedral, which was built in the Neo Gothic style, lies on the north bank of the River Clyde in Clyde Street. It is recognised as Glasgow’s first major piece of Gothic revivalism. From the Reformation of 1560 until the late 1600s, Roman Catholic worship in Glasgow had to be covert (by law Roman Catholic places of worship were only permitted from 1778). By the end of the 18th century, particularly with the influx of Irish immigrants to Glasgow, there soon became a need for a Roman Catholic church in the city. Completed in 1817, and designed by James Gillespie Graham (1776–1855), the church re-introduced the Roman Catholic presence to Glasgow. In 1805 there were approximately only 450 Catholics in the city, but by the time the church was completed there were more than 3,000. The hostility to the Roman Catholic Church was evident during the construction of the cathedral: work completed during the day was torn down by locals at night, delaying completion and eventually guards had to be placed on the building site to protect the construction works. However, congregations of other Christian denominations in the city donated money for the completion of the project in a gesture of ecumenism in light of the difficulties faced in construction. The building was raised to the status of cathedral in 1889. Single RAW image Tonemapped in Photomatix Pro 3.2. Notre Dame, Paris, captial city of France. The last in my Notre Dame series. I created six versions of this shot, trying different textures, colours and layers, but this was the first one that moved toward a theme or emotion that I wanted. It feels quite lonely and stripped of hope to me, but I’m sure it will have varied meaning to the individual. 8 layers of texture from www.deviantart.com free use stock – Amurrr. Lightened each layer, adjusted hue and colour levels, blended each with 3 layers of the photo, one b&w, one colour and one desaturated. Flattened image and further colour tweaking and adjusting.
