Gospa od Skrpjela church, Perast, Montenegro / Gospa od Skrpjela church was built in the place, where sailors of Perast found St. Mary icon. There was only a rock there, so the island was made artificialy by sinking in the waters of bay stones and remains of old ships
This started out as one shot of a beautiful interior of the ‘Church of Our Lady’ in Bruges, Belgium. I duplicated the image to get four separate shots, rotated and flipped them in Photoshop. They were then combined to get this symmetrical shot.

The red roof most certainly caught my eye first. Along the Ring Highway in Iceland there are many roadside Chapels but this one had the local elements for a good shot. Every small town along the road has a little church and they are all Lutheran.
