Whimsical image of two white candy Easter eggs sitting on a wooden shelf, sporting flower hats. Easter card / created from this image Card without text
Macro of a chrysanthemum. Recently sold as a matted print.
A teeny-tiny flower bud (a Chrysanthemum I believe?) only 3cm diameter in its entirety…this little portion just approx. 1.5 cm x 2cm. Canon EOS 30D / Canon 100mm Macro Lens / ISO 100 f/25.0 Inspired… by a work of Andrew Maiden’s in Canon Edition PHOTO PLUS / Achieved… with huge thanks to Wayne Bigg for his Macro advice (look Wayne: f/25.0…you were right – no surprises there!) / Dedicated… to Michael Walters whose beautiful RB Portfolio made me want to take photos today.
Design is a distressed version of a mon (Japanese family crest) I created based on an abstracted form for the chrysanthemum flower.

Chrysanthemum in Sepia :)
Simple vector illustration superimposed on a wood grain texture, the see through nature of the illustration is designed to make the wood look like it has been stained.
Well…these colors make me happy anyway…
A Chrysanthemum with Apophysis and texture overlays. The title refers to the fact that I have so far been unable to put a name to this variety of Chrysanthemum. / Click to view my redbubble work by category: Altered Images / Animals, Birds and Insects / Flowers and Plants / Fractal Images / HDR Images / Satin Series
. / . / Featured in Vibrant Plants November 5, 2008. I spied these fun pumpkins outside a lovely hotel in Kennebunk, Maine on September 5, 2008. Camera Nikon D40x with the 55-200mm VR lens. For the card version, a Thanksgiving greeting has been added … but these could just as easily be produced as place cards with the names of the guests for your upcoming Thanksgiving Dinner!!! Hint Hint!!! LOL!!! Obsidian Dawn

These cut flowers are almost over so have managed to capture one or two!
A little while ago, Mel asked me to design a tattoo for her, and this is a colour version of it! It includes a portrait of her and a daffodil, chrysanthemum and marigold which are the birth flowers of her children! :) Hope you like it Mel! It would be super cool on a tee too! :) Let me know ;)
Every year for over 40 years until his death in April 2007 my Father-in-law grew these gorgeous Chrysanthemums so as he’s no longer with us I decided to carry on with the tradition.
Canon 400D, natural light.
Today was overcast and rainy…..so .. I took advantage of the wet wood and lighting… :) ISO 64 / 1/20 3.2 / taken 1.08.08 / size 4320×3240
